My heart goes out to these people, it truely does!

  • I'm in Newfoundland. My town only got power back last night! I'm glad I don't have to go to St. John's this week or next.

  • @newfoundlandspaceman where are you located? roughly!!

  • @VideosOfNewfoundland

Swift Current. North Harbor, Garden Cove, and Terrenceville got power before us.

  • @DanceWithSam in that case i am SORRY, looked like you were tossing a dig at us. Sorry bud.

  • @DanceWithSam the goverment are doing the best they can based on the wide spread damage, and regards to the HOLES you are in as you say, these folks are also doing the best they can, it is NOT the fault of the COMMUNITIES nor our GOVERMENT of what happened, everyone is doing the best that they can, if i could help those folks i certinally would and well! If they need help,i am here.... these towns are NOT holes, these are folks HOMES!

  • @conservahunnee yeah, we have been through tough times alright, and somehow we all stick together and over come all odds.

  • Wow I'm living in New Jersey these days...I just moved last fall.....I heard about the hurricane and talked to my family but there is nothing like seeing the footage you have here. Holy god! I don't recall ever seeing that many trees uprooted that bad in my lifetime..or the flooding in town to be that bad...not in my memory anyhow...and i'm 27!

  • @neverlandbrats yeaj it was pretty bad in some places, city council were saying that Bowing park was hit pretty hard with the all the flooding and trees uprooted, i might take a walk in there over the weekend and have a look!

  • Great footage buddy. Good job Cheers

  • @OleTrout Thanks for that, i am always out looking for something to video, but this time is is something we certinally did not need, now Enviroment Canada is saying we have another Hurricane moving our way! Hurricane LISA! thats all we need, another storm.

  • see, even god hates newfies..

  • @JaySGH WELL I ASKED MY HUSBAND IF I COULD ANSWER THIS ONE.

FIRST OF ALL IT IS A SICK REMARK THAT YOU MADE AND ACTUALLY A STUPID ONE TOO.

UNFORTUNATELY THIS KIND OF THING HAPPENS ALL OVER THE WORLD, THERE IS A LOT WORSE THINGS HAPPENING IN OTHER PLACES OF THE WORLD THAN WHAT WE HAD WITH HURRICANE IGOR. IT COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE BELIEVE IT OR NOT.

I DONT CARE ABOUT YOU CALLING US NEWFIES AT ALL BUT IN CASE YOU HAVE NOT LEARNED IT GROWING UP, IF YOU HAVE GROWN UP, THAT GOD DO NOT HATE ANYONE.

  • @VideosOfNewfoundland

Well he sure did give them newfies some shitty english.

  • @RyansCharmer and you?.... yeah good question aint it!!

  • 9:33 is my cousin's house. The trees have been removed - Amazingly enough, there appears to be minimal damage.

  • @cadmilefailte glad to hear you came out of it ok, looking from the road at the trees on the homes looks like major damage!

  • @VideosOfNewfoundland yea, one in spring, one at the end of summer.

blame the misleading liberals for it, lol they even get guys from the states to come to canada and run their party.

  • My mom has been put on 12-Hour Notice, she is a Medi-vac Flight Nurse at CFB Trenton. It rests on weather the guys above her decide to send help from Trenton or not, but in my opinion you guys deffinately need all the help you can get

  • @Buzzwick250 yeah. but most of it, if not all should go to the BURIN and BONAVISTA PENNs first, we can wait!

  • @ashtonmondor what is copyrighted?

  • omg was everyone ok in those houses?

  • @Mrskit3 I never heard of anyone getting hurt! thats not saying there was not!

  • 9:33 was intense... Take care - from Moncton NB

  • @criticalcaleb yup, it was, the fisrt couple of clips i was out in the thing for a walk, yup i said a WALK... i must have NUTS!! it was in the full height of the wind too... at one point i could not even walk with the strong winds.

  • Good job D!

  • @charlieg2349 Thanks Charlie.... :-)

  • imagine it was only a 1 on the scale lol, it looked like godzilla went around st.johns and just started pulling out trees

  • @cockedandloaded2007 good thing that wind didnt stay long, St.Johns would have had MAJOR damage if it had.

  • This isn't even that bad compared to the Burin Peninsula..

  • @Likeomgitspete never siad it was, i am understand full well what happened down on the Burin Pen. and OTHER communites as well.

  • Wicked - nicely done - covers most of St. John's good job!

  • Wow great video. Can you tell me what is the music you used with this Vid? Love it. Who is singing?

  • @Ross1of1 Skythrone Heart Of Steel, excellent sond track for this kinda thing! builds up a huge amount of suspence!

  • @VideosOfNewfoundland I have searched for that and cannot find it. You know where I can get it?

  • @Ross1of1 try BeeMP3

  • @Ross1of1 You can download the song at BeeMp3

just type in: Skythrone Heart Of Steel

  • @VideosOfNewfoundland Thankyou sir...I have it now. Do you know where I could find the lyrics too? I write lyrics myself and would like to have a copy of what is being said. How did you ever find this music? You certainly are talented. :-)

  • Man it was awful but i gotta say it wasn't as bad as when i was living in halifax during Hurrican Juan.

  • @trendy76 Bad enough, you should see the damage west of us... they got hammered BIG TIME!

  • @VideosOfNewfoundland my mom ,stepfather and brother live in Marystown so I know they got some damage.

  • great video as spanner said. prolly one of the best on here about igor.

  • @rescul2418 Thanks for that! for the first couple of videos i took my life into my own hands to get that, the poles where rocking back and forth, trees moving the ground under there own weight, i was very unnerving! I walked on the other side of the road away from that pole line.

  • Great video as always from yourself sir. I knew as I sat here in the UK lastnight, that I would wake to one of your videos and I have to say that you've delivered again. You got some nice shots and captured some of the horror that's been brought to the island. Thanks for shareing 5* 5*

  • @spannernuts :-) You know i cant pass up a great story as this! So when is our next encounter? hehe

  • @VideosOfNewfoundland I got a feeling our next encounter is gonna be this winter. Not sure exactly what...but i got a feeling it's gonna be something very big and unlike anything we've ever seen before. Maybe i'm just hyped up too much about 2012 but...we'll see.

  • @TheUnforgiven2012 Bring it on!! me and my camera well be ready!

  • @VideosOfNewfoundland Snow will be your next chance to go out and play lol.....

  • @spannernuts Cant wait!! although my wrist says other wise...lol

  • Awesome footage! The Burin and Bonavista Penninsulas including Clarenville got way more rain and there was more roads washed out but the St.Johns area appears to have gotten higher winds as there were more huge trees uplifted.

  • @TheUnforgiven2012 we got around 136kph NE winds yesterday, but it lasted only about 2 hours, the trees tell the sad story. some of there trees were over 100years old. :-(

  • Yah, i was watching the new, you got it not as bad as marys town. Sville got nuten, but a bit of wind :P

  • @WhatsHisNameDuelist Got enough, if that wind would have kept up, St.Johns would have blown off the map..lol

  • @VideosOfNewfoundland so ture :P

  • Thanks for the video. Called my parents earlier and they didn't get hit as bad as other places. Pretty sheltered where they are from the wind. Good to see you survived.

  • @willingtowork I did..... remind me to never walk under trees and poles again with wind over 135kph

  • Good job !! I got some video from Glenwood in a bit I''ll have it posted.

  • @19ranger86 just saw a them, you certinally got alot of water out there too.

  • saw this on the news, targa got lucky :P
