I love Unicorn, I really do. I have just finished watching Ep. 4, and I must say it pissed me off. Banager didn't fire a single shot in the entire hour! We are seeing ZERO actions from the Gundam. His pacifism and idealism almost made me want to slap him. I hate to spoil further details here, but I hope ppl won't be too disappointed after watching Ep. 4.

@AdvertChild98 If you can find a translated version of the novel. Read it, the fight is completely different. I don't know why Sunrise/Bandai changed it. Banagher was fighting Loni's father, she knew the fighting was pointless and tried to reason with her father which results in him shooting her. Banagher realizes he can't reason with Loni's dad and tries to destroy the Shamblo. With her dying breath, Loni helps guide Banagher to shoot the chest. It's was tragic and truimphent.

@TheGarfuncle they are, but it's going to be based on a series of novels/manga (not sure which) called Mobile Suit Gundam the Origin. I read some of the manga, and there are differences in the storytelling. It's actually a good thing, since it does more to streamline the original gundam's plot.

The feds could have crushed the Zeon remnants on earth easily-but that would limit the amount of power they could exert authoritatively and militarily over the people and spacenoids.

I hate saying stuff like this, but I'll say it anyway. Gundam Unicorn is proof that ONLY the UC Gundam series are REAL Gundam (besides Turn A, which I consider to be a real gem). Unicorn is by far the best Gundam series/ OVA I've watched (Just ahead of Zeta, 08th MS Team and Turn A).

yes, EF grows weaker, probably since the end of Gryps Conflict, since it was often some groups other than the main Fed forces that took care of the big threats. AEUG/Karaba in 1st Neo Zeon war; Londo Bell, even if it is part of Fed, in 2nd Neo Zeon war (main Fed force practically gave up on Earth); Crossbone Vanguards (the UC 0133 version) in Jupiter Empire conflict; League Militaire in the war with Zanscare Empire. But 17 years without uniform change isn't too bad. Or is it?

@extraleague01 It's not that the EF has grown weaker, it just hasn't ever grown stronger. The EF has in all wars relied on it's numerical advantage. Thats why the RGM-79 was designed the way it was, for easy and fast production and supierior numbers. However over the course of time the RGM-79 succsessors have become stronger, though the under line objectives are still saught, easy and quick production, aswell as numerical supieriority. The Ef does however grom weaker over time, just very slowly.

I think so. He was trying to cause a huge explosion, thus trying to kill the Tristars too. It reminds me of V Gundam, a different series but also set in Universal Century, where the main character shot an enemy MS in the wrong spot, causing a huge explosion that almost damaged or partially damaged a city.

You know those Nemo pilots are pretty bold since they were the first to engage the two marine suits in close combat while the GM 2 units were pined down by their supressive fire.I would also assume that a deadicated marine mobile suit would have a much stronger frame and armour than a ground based suit since it has to take on the very extreme pressures under water. And whats with that red mobile armour killing her own soldiers?
