Would a treadmill suit you better? Cats need exercise, just like hamsters or any other pet. It's plainly obvious to the most casual observer, that the cats enjoy the wheel. This breed especially, needs an outlet for their high energy level.

i am considering getting one of those wheels for my cat but i am worried she might fall through the back since there is no backing, have any of you cats ever falled through the back of the wheel? or is this not a problem?

There is backing. It's thin plexiglass. If you look closely, you can see the reflections off of it in the video.

Your cat really enjoys the wheel. This breed cat really likes to run. My bengle loves to run full on around my yard. It is a tri-level type yard on a hill so he gets going full speed down hill. I think my cat would love a wheel!
