Yeah. The Kontrol49 is a midi Controller. Meaning, it doesn't produce a sound on it's own. It triggers and controls different parameters in a software.

In plain english, it doesn't make any sound, it controls what you do in the computer.

The pads change colour if they are set up as toggle switches in the editor librarian. orange is on, green is off i think. Dont remember. never use mine as toggle.

Ill check out Gasman if its similar stuff, my kinda thing :) sorry about the bad sound quality, i dont actually have a digital camcorder, this was just taken on my digital camera in movie shot mode, not the best microphone on it...much appreciated comments :D

you could record the sound to video, then just sync it up. clap in the start or whatever so that you know where to start syncing. But .. too much trouble really :D
