It's a pistol sized machine gun, you just grip it and shoot it with a normal two handed grip like any other pistol. The wire stock helps keep it on target, control muzzle climb. If the suppressor is present, you can hold the rear of the suppressor if you like. It's a good gun that works well, and there is no reason to lose a finger unless you are a dumbass.

I've fired a full auto MAC-10 (.45 ACP) with one hand and a full magazine (32 rounds). It wasn't bad at all. It empties that magazine in about 2 seconds.

@victor58461 The original Mac-10 was chambered in .45 or 9mm (shown here, read descrip), the later variants MAC-11 is chambered in .380, while the M-11/9 is chambered for 9mm.

@junmiguel2007 The RPM is around 1200. The AK has a gas system slowing it down and the Mac is a blow back so they are totally different animals. My guess would be that the Macs bolt weighs more.

@dgk990 there is no way I'd try. The gun recoils fast and the could flip your wrist leaving you dead or hospitalized. I'm sure it could be done with 2 or 3 rounds but with a full mag its nothing like the blank guns they use in TV/movies.

Happened in New Hampshire, I read it in the papers back about 2 years ago when I was at the barber; a little kid was at a fair and was shooting a Micro Uzi. He kept hold of the trigger and the gun recoiled up into his face and killed him instantly. Pretty fucked up, but i'm not suprised. Have you ever seen that video of the guy with the vertical grip on the glock? The grip slipped off the rail and he shot himself in the hand. Recoil and gun control is a problem everyone faces.

@dgk990 He's not an idiot. It's possible to do full auto with Glock 18s, one in each hand. Same 9x19mm round as the Mac 10, and it even has a faster cycle rate, 1100-1200rpm vs. Mac 10 1090rpm And since when would flipping your wrist kill someone?

@Yoda716 The MAC10 fires .45ACP, not 9x19mm. You're thinking of the MAC11.

Either way, the Glock 18Cs are more controllable because 1: The heavier slide of the 18Cs vs the lighter weight bolt of the MAC10/11 means more of the recoil energy is dissipated to cycle the weapon, and 2: the 18Cs are ported, venting hot gas upwards near the end of the barrel to reduce muzzle climb.

The only thing to hold back muzzle climb on the MACs is blank rounds (which fire at much lower pressures) and your arms.

The MAC M10 was made in both 45 and 9mm versions.  The M10 weighs about 7 lbs with the magazine in it, and the Glock 18 weighs like 1.5 lbs. Just the bolt in the M10 actually weighs more than the entire Glock.

A mac 11 .380 is way faster. 1600 to 1800 rpm. a 32 round magazine is gone in a second. mac 10 uses bigger .45 acp bullets though. i still like the mac 11 .380 though.

The gun wasn't intended to spray bullets. With a small bit of practice you can fire 2-4 round burst ( I can get 3-4) and that make it a very effective weapon for close combat.

I love the 45 but I shoot a lot and didn't want to pay the big$ for the ammo so i bought a 9mm. If you look at some of my other videos you will see the gun looks a lot different now days. The new upper (Max-10) can make either the 45 or the 9mm into a much better subgun than they were originaly.

I've see all these vids of (apparently) civilians shooting automatic weapons, even with silencers. What are the ATF laws regarding these? Are full autos and silencers only allowed at certain ranges? Do you have to have a permit like one for concealed carry? Thanks.

You can own them in most states but you have to buy a gun that was registered before 1986. After you pay for the gun(they start at about $3000) you send the paperwork and $200 to the ATF and wait about 2 months. When the paperwork returns to the dealer you can then go pick the gun up. Your best bet if you are interested would be to find a local class 3 dealer that can walk you trough the process.
