Sometimes I said bad words but I am trying to improve so that I won't offend anyone. I have an intense temper but not a quick temper. I try not to lose my temper unless back into a corner. May our Father bless you and keep you safe.
Our Father in heaven said that accident can happen in a world that honors free will. He also said that a Mercydes is the safest car on the road especially when 650,000,000 people depend on me being safe. We have 27 years of the 5700 period left so I need a very safe and comfortable car. I will live as long as I can. But my body is 62 years old and I've been through many spiritual battles and a few fist fights along the way.
I did not ask to be a Melchisedek High Priest and when I tried to explain that I was not qualified both our Father and you promoted me to the Ark of the Covenant. I don't know what the Ark is except that I house the mercy seat and as long as the mercy is here with you God's wrath in heaven is stayed. He won't destroy the world as long as I live. I think we should work hard to love each other and to do the next right thing. I also need a white Mercydes as it is safer for me to drive.
First you said that I was a priest. I cried for three hours. Then you said I was the New Jerusalem, Then you named me Israel and I did not know the meaning of that. I looked it up and took the opposite of Jacob, he was a boy and I am a girl. It said a Then I looked it up and ir did n or seem so bad. Then you said no you won't be their Priest, you are my High Priest and Priest to our Father in heaven.
I was afraid of being drawn into your song because I thought you would make me a mummy again. I want a family Popa. I've never had a family and I only had two friends in my whole journey here. Love does not hurt. People hurt. I did not want to be the Ark of the Covenant. You said it was my birthright and that I could nor resign. I told you that I was not qualified and you said I would get on the job training. Love, Babe
Popa forgive me for being afraid that you were going to put me in a Mummy like you did in Egypt after you build the pyramids and built a craft for your escape. I don't want to be a mummy again. It was lonesome in that high mountain where you hid me. Nobody found me until King David sent for me to be brought to Jerusalem. Then I still was hidden in the Ark until this life time. Now I am an Ark here in the USA and I am your High Priest and our Father's High Priest. Babe
Holly Holy doesn't understand everything. She has forgotten the pain of that time. Her love continues and from forgiveness came forth a much greater love than ever before. She knows that it had something to do with the Red Heifer in Torah. When she comes to his dreams, he runs because it hurts him. Holly Holy was his only child and she and her little brother are buried somwhere in Carolina. I love you Popa, Babe She and her little brother were twins so they are one soul.
He is singing to his five month old body that he rapped, tortured, sodimized and he let the other nine that made up the ten in his Orthodox Jewish Group, have their turn until she died. A surrogate family took her in and she lived in very difficult conditions. He never cared because her he got want he wanted. Fame and money, and hatred of all oter women. True.

Neil Diamond has been one of my all time favorite performers for at least 40 years. I listened to him when I was in high school back in the early 70s when hard rock was the vogue. This is music, plain and simple.
Wow, I did exactly the same thing twanghang did, played a little transistor radio under my pillow. This song always took me away. Neil Diamond: a master song writer, great voice, this was one of the main songs of that feel that still stand out from my childhood (along with Roy Orbison "Pretty Woman", the Righteous Brothers "Unchained Melody", Len Barry "1-2-3", and Billy Joe Royal "Down in the Boondocks"). Great atmosphere and production on all of them.

Hearing this on the car radio as I was being driven to a private school in Plainfield NJ on WABC 700 am when they played music. Classic. Keep watching!
Haunting. Beautiful. Spiritual. I remember as a little kid riding in the car with my Mom driving. We had a fantastic '67 red Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible. She would sing along with the radio blasting to this original studio version. I learned the words quickly as WLS in Chicago played it often in late "69 and early 1970. AM radio. Jesus, what a great time we had. Mom had a lead foot and that Cutlass would just slice through the wind like a razor. Great song. Great car. Great times.Thankyou
Though I was never a real big fan of N.D., my late wife was. This somewhat mournful song reverses the years to a time of both sadness and excellence for me.
It is an all time favorite.

A Chips Moman production. The band Neil recorded this with is one of the most successful bands in history. Their story has finally been put to print in the awesome new book entitled "Memphis Boys" by Roben Jones. They charted 120 top 40 hits in the sixties and seventies. Their biggest? Suspicious Minds, In The Ghetto, Son of A Preacher Man, Always On My Mind, The Letter, Sweet Caroline just to name a few. Their body of work is astonishing.
I was a teenager when this came out and they played it on radio on "a regular rotation" (All the time) I still can't believe Neil Diamond is not in the RRHF(Rock n Roll Hall of Fame) what are they thinking down there! Maybe....there not thinking at all !!!!!
@culwin Yeah Kanye Sucks and Id love to punch him dead square in the face for what he had the balls to do to Taylor Swift.God he's a angry man.Oh yeah and a racist too!
I think it's great the way the song starts out very quietly. Just Neil and a piano. Then it builds, a full orchestra and the chorus comes in.
Interesting that it includes a good deal of Christian symbolism ("Touch a man who can't walk upright and a lame man, he's gonna fly.") as well as mysticism in the lyrics. The singers remind us of a gospel choir and about midway through the song he uses a church organ in place of the piano. Not bad for a Jewish kid from Brooklyn.
@SweetTooth44 There is HOPE for the world! Thank you for making a over the hill contemporary of Neil have faith that someone will remember there is REAL music in this world.

Hey, one other person in this world has taste in music, besides me. Tell me: How can you listen to that song and not feel inspired? And isn't that the definition of really great music? Shame that that song isn't played more often, instead of a lot of the crap you hear nowadays.
There it is! I wondered when someone would upload this. I remember being 9 years old and going to sleep hearing this on the transistor radio I'd put under my pillow. This tune GRABBED me! They really created "atmosphere" on this one. I could see the whole thing in my head as a kid. Thanks for posting.
Neil in Memphis. This band he's working with here is one of the best in history.

@twanghang OMG, you've just described my experience too! And praying the batteries wouldn't run out before the song came on!
