Hey for those of you reading the comments thinking about how many underground rappers are known then about how many other good ones should be known you should take a look at each profile posting about how they are underground & have a bit of talent & give a few of their videos a chance, check out what they have to offer. Like me, my name is Maxx "MaxximusP.R.I.M.E" Mattison,& id like those of you who care to give a kid a chance to look at my profile, check out my videos,& give me some feedback
"....speaker cabinets when I'm stabbin it like the juice..." Big Jus came sick on this track......EL P fell off like a motherfucker with the whole def jux garbage catering to yuppie ass college kids
@swellclimber i mean el p aint makin co flo shit the same way i guess but he didnt fall off he still got the same insane rap skills and fuck it he cant keep college kids from likin his shit who gives a fuck
Why they put adverts on underground music is honestly beyond me as if any one lisnin to indie music no matter the genre is gonna bow down to some corporate bullshit
This Album sold somethin' like 30,000 without even havin' a label so technically Co Flow jump-started an Underground Revolution!!! They do a fantastic job of provin' Old Skool still to this day can rip these signed, big budget artists apart!! MCMXCVII was a great year for Hip Hop!!
This is what I grew up listening to when I was younger. I like mainstream shit but I still digg 'real' hip-hop like this. Wish I could go back to the times of Rawkus Soundbombing and Lyricists Lounge. Good Times!
I hear this track and it reminds me of my days growing up on Strong Island, rockin some baggy Karl Kani's with them Lugz on my feet, smokin L's on the train....90's era EAST COAST HIP-HOP CANNOT BE FUCKED WITH......Twist one up, and vibe to this....

why does everyone think that Primo produced everything on Reality Check?? It's a mix, not his productions! And SHINE is mislabeled as Lyrical Tactics FYI
@pontus227 nah premier didnt produce this song. he just scratched over this song on his mixtape called "new york reality check 101". EL-P was the one that produced this song.
el-p BEASTED on this 1 .. some of the most unique abstract hip hop ive ever heard got somethin to do w this dude (can o, aesop rock etc) def jux is too nasty w it
this is a good song, if a bit dated. "open up your eyes and clear out your nasal".... my favorite line by jus allah is "i got the same burner as the kid own the block"... mind you el-p comes in and drops stuff like "crazy robot teetering on the edge of outer space" & "pacemakers hooked up to clappers" and that's like his debut, plus besides doing the f'in beat on this. kind of ahead of its time err.
first time i heard this was right as i was taking a maaaad drag from a billy..... instantly turned a stressful day into a brilliantly relaxing one........
@mongrel420 ........have u been living in a hole? no offence man, but Rwanda refers to the country which preformed a ethnic cleansing back in the 90's... "Rugged like Rwanda" refures to the genocide that went on in Rwanda... now u know, unless u were being sarcastic.... and yea cage is alright, but i've been listening to other artists since then, cage is too emotional in a way... but he's dope still, and has some ill beats. again, i'm not beefin' if this is how u might take it, i'm just stating
@mongrel420 yeah man, good looking on this song.. and i'm glad u weren't mad, caus i seem to do that to people... i don't mean to, but i can't help it i gotta say what i gotta say. peace
o.k... It's "rugged like rwanda; don't wander far or get chopped up; quick to rush the spot.." and so on.
