  • Sheer class from a class side. You can just see how selfless the Down forwards were. They took their chances well and didn't waste their chances or time in possession. I remember that Dublin pounded them with pressure in the latter stages of the second half. Mickey Linden sheer class when he was one on one with John O'Leary, didn't glory and did the right thing, lay it off to McCartan. And McCartan continued his run! That is the type of work that is needed for an All-Ireland.

  • Well due time for another one! Would love to see a rampant a Down team back in Croke Park on All Ireland Final Day.

    The Down team of the early 90s was one of most skilful and scintillating sides of that decade when in full flow. Probably should have won even more All Irelands.
