Kobe is better. For all the easy calls stars get in the NBA, nobody benifited more than MJ. You aren't allowed to even look at him, and he commited many reach in fouls that went uncalled. Call it straight, and he is only one of the best. And lets not forget he is a season ticket holder to greyhound bus tickets.

It's just that much easier for guards to score today. Kobe is amazing, but there's not another Michael Jordan in the league right now. Hopefully someday...

Always hated Jordan, being a Pistons fan. But can't say he wasn't fun to watch when he played other teams, though. My favorite was when the Bulls were playing Utah back in 87 or 88. He dunked on Stockton, and a fan on the sideline told him to pick on someone his own size. The next time down the floor, he dunked on Mel Turpin. As he ran back up court, he looked at the fan and said "was he big enough?" Classic...

My favourite period of Michael is 1986-1988 he didnt win titles,but he was just fun to watch especially in 87.What elegance ,;ying motion,when they showing slow mottions it seems he is flying up there for a hour or more :)

Bird only won 3 championships in his career to michaels 5. And two of those came to the houston rockets which barely made it to the championships on an unlikely run but they were only able to beat the lakers once out of three attempts. Bird was good but not the best by far. In that time I would put Isaiah thomas and magic johnson over bird. Maybe even Kareem and he was getting hella old.

Bird is with the best Smallforward Ever: averaged 24.3 ppg, 10.3 rebounds, 6.5 assits and 1.7 steales pg. Increidible for a Small Forward that could not run or jump. Both Magic and Bird played like elderly players at the age of 21 while Jordan entered the league pretty much as a one on one player, high jumper and defender. he learned the rest later on.

Put Jordan to guard Bird from the 3-Point Line, close to the Paint where Bird got his best shots or below the basket for a rebound or simple who had better court vision and made his players better and Jordan would get owned :)
