This is the best competitive puzzle game i've ever played. Thank you for uploading a playthrough for this game, I wish this game was on xbox live arcade with online play. I would of brought this game on the virtual console if it did have online play. The closest thing to this game these days is Meteos Wars and sadly no one ever plays online.

Yep! Several games, especially the arcade variants, did that if you could choose your own level.

What's up with the opponents gems turning to stone? I don't think I've ever seen that happen.

They turn black and white, not to stone. Given that Columns is a very color-based game, that is a fairly effective attack against human opponents. Computers, not so much.

No, those are the real credits. One of the Mega Man games (2?) has a credit for "FISH MAN" and "YUKIICHAN'S PAPA"... weird credits weren't that rare in those days.
