  • For the students who are watching this, there is a mistake: Homer is eating as usually . Correction : Homer is eating as usual.

    See you on Monday.

    Ms. V.

  • @funwithenglish1 Hellow miss veagra :D

  • @kmarchena

    Hi,

    See you tomorrow.

  • @funwithenglish1 Hellow miss veagra :D i m Ricardo Herrera

  • My students really love The Simpsons. I find this video can be used in class with first of ESO students. The fact that the word "usual" appears at the end can be used to explain the contrast between the Present Simple and the Present Continuous.

  • it's interesting to learn English with Simpsons!

  • marica..

  • Homer is eating.....as usual. (not 'as usually')

  • amazing video!!! and i love sompsons

  • You should say : Present progressive expresses an activity that is in progress right now. The event is in progress at the time the speaker is saying the sentence. The event began in the past, is in progress now and will probably continue in the future.

    Positive form: Subject P. + am,are,is + -ing.

E.g. I am working at the moment.

    Negative form: Subject p. + am,are,is + not + -ing.

E,g. I am not working at the moment.

    Question form: Am,are,is + Subject p. + -ing.

    E.g. Are you working?

  • subject + verb to be + verb + ing????????? it's sooooooo confusing for the Ss

  • It's so good the video . . .!!

It's really nice I learn much with these videos . .!

    Greetings from Perú . . .!!

  • Iliked the video very much. I hope my students like it to

  • I like Homer Simpson and I like your video as well. My pupils will like too.

  • mmmm, first take more classes and after that publish your videos,,,your english is shit....

  • Lol everybody makes mistakes. Good idea. Bad song.

  • Lol everybody makes mistakes... good job, guys. Great idea.

  • Well, it's understandable, but not as correct as it should be if you're teaching =/

and in the other hand, I don't think The Simpsons would dance reggaeton ! XD'

  • When I first saw this video I thought it was a good idea for applying it in my classes (I'm an English teacher in Mexico City) but the truth is that it has a couple of flaws, and that doesn't help students. But anyways, it gave me a great idea for making videos of my own

  • whats name of song ?

  • Homer is eating .... as usually. AS USUALLY!!!! of all that silly gibberish. Go back to your classroom man!

  • @HnoDeimos I think that your been really hard, because mistakes area good opportunity to see if your students are paying attention to your class or not .

recently I showed a video that had a mistake in it and my students came up with the correction and I felt really proud because it was something I had taught them before.

So don't close your mind and make some good mistakes and get the attention of your students that way too. ñ_ñ

  • holaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • cool :D

  • Homer is eating as usually... or as usual?

I like the idea of using The Simpsons.

  • thank you

  • this is bad, but nice try :)

  • That's a lovely song, can anyone tell me its title? Thank you!

  • Don't teach if you don't know your stuff!!! It just confuses people. Leave it to those who know the language extremely well.

  • Great but Homer is eating as usual!!!

Usually is used with Present simple!!

  • yes I agree.

  • @emilyamberbucknall exactly! after i saw that it lost all credibility

  • @emilyamberbucknall "Homer IS EATING NOW, as he USUALLY DOES". So: "Homer IS EATING [NOW], as [he] USUAL[LY DOES]". The second sentence is an ellipsis of the first one. Poor Pacho! I guess you just don't like his pronunciation. After all, he's not a native speaker himself, but the important thing is beng able to communicate, isn't it?

  • super guay

  • hey my favorite youtube buddy.

    How you doing snuffpornKing.

    Still had no sex.:P

To bad for you man, seems like you have to spend some more time using empty swear words to people you dont know.

I pitty your anger. But on the other hand it always makes me happy to see dumb people like you swearing. And what else can you do if you are not smart.

    Cheerz mate hahahaha

  • looks like their mocking The Beatles - Abby Road and Nirvanas - Nevermind Album covers

  • ha ha

  • Oh, this is for non-native English speakers. ^^; I should have realized. Technically (and correct me if I'm wrong), shouldn't 0:24 say "Homer is eating... as usual"?

  • muy bien tu video jajaja

  • lol cool teacher

  • Buen video, felicidades. Un saludo desde Cantabria (España)

  • This kind of material is really nice for english classes with kids and even adults. I used it in a class with teens and it was a different way of being exposed to what could´ve been a boring topic for them. Cool. Thanks!

  • Dandan , this work has done for non-native speakers of english , it has an educational aim ,but not fun ...so man if you did not like it ,you can skip it ..

I am teaching english for kids...they found it funny and coolll...thaks for all efforts done in this respect.

  • Exellent!!! I study in the Distrital University and this kind of stuff really help students to learn!!!

    Thanks for posting this!!!

  • The video is cool. But horstmanjeff is correct, "usually" should be "usual".

  • Homer is eating, as usual. Not usually. Close but no cigar.
