Im at the end of the game on a bridge attacking shadow creatures so i save and come back then i fall thru the bridge and im swimming in water no way to get up :(

Takes over Walters body. I was fighting Walter then it had the little cutsceane where Walter explodes into a Black dust cloud and vanishes. Then just a plain white screen. No falling. I can hear my character walking around and the dog running but its just a blank white screen :/
I was able to get out of the free falling glitch by using a different method I saw written somewhere.
Basically I hit the start button NON STOP on the start screen (after you select flash drive or memory to load up your game) once it began loading I hit the start button non stop and ended up in the sanctuary :) Was able to fast travel from there
I fell through the stairs while doing the quest 'The Weight of the World' and I actually have no way of getting out. I'm not falling I'm just stuck under the stairs and every time I load it, I just keep going back there. I can get to the sanctuary but I cannot travel which really sucks because I'm stuck like this.
The cause for this bug was that i played in co-op with a partner.
After the session i won't stop falling, its impossible to fix this bug.
The co-op works fine however, but as soon as i go back to single player i start falling. What i do hope is that they release a patch that also fixes it for those that already are stuck in it, or i will be forced to restart a 4th time on this game. Which will piss me off... again.

my problem is, I was falling just like you, then I updated Fable and I had solid ground! behind a wall but I could enter sanctuary. the point is IM IN A QUEST!!! which makes it impossible to fast travel :'(
i was glitched out of the map in bowerstone market. i fast traveled , then it looked like i fell from the sky and ended up out of the map. i cant move, all it does is spaz in the same spot. Also, even though im not moving i cant go into the sanctuary.

I tried getting a second controller, so I could kill the other hobes and stuff,to go to the road to rule, but it didn't work. she wont move, but she can attack and talk to the dog still. I'm under the map. there id a hobe here, but he doesn't do anything. I can't attack either.
Hey I just fixed this glitch by going to the "road to rule" place when the option comes up on the d pad area on the bottom left hand of the screen. I then went to the sancturary and saved and then i exited the sancturary and it loaded my character at the entrance to mourningwood (I was on a quest to take some widow to her dead husband if thats any help).
This didnt work for me possibly because I had "fallen" beneath Bowerstone castle but i got out of it by reloading my character (i glitched while fast traveling) and hitting start as soon as the loading screen finishes and my character hadnt began to fall yet but seemed to be on an invisible floor, hope this helps.
I fast travelled to dan (relationship quest) in mistpeak valley and it spawned me in the glitch. Now whenever I get on it keeps making me fall but it is wierd. I don't see my character and they occasionally go from the top to the bottom of my screen in about a second. How do I fix this? there is no island for me to land on or whatever
@ForgerMike7 get a friend online to run around and go to dig spots in mistpeak valley once you aquire an item that can be equipped ie tattoo, armour, weapons and you can press x to go to the dressing room.
i really hope some1 can help me out... i finished my game with obne hero and tried to make another 1 to have him get evil wings since my first hero has angel wings.... once i got to the merc camp i just fell through the map... i tried again all my heroes fell through at that spot and ONLY that spot.... and now my main hero is there too.... and this didnt work... can any1 provide another solution?

i was in silverpines destroying balverines and i saved and exited the game. Then the next day i came in and i was under the map, not falling, i was able to walk but i coudnt use magic,gun, or my sword and couldnt even go to the sanctuary so im just walking around under the map and cant get back to destroying balverines. Ive tried everything, need help.
the solution in this video didnt work for me, it may of been because this solution is specific to his falling glitch area (I fell when i fast traveled to the bowerstone castle). But i was however able to fix the problem. When you have enough guild seals to buy something in the road to rule and it sometimes gives you the option to press up on the d-pad and teleport to the road to rule, then u use the teleport door at the end of the road to rule and it should place you above your falling position!
This solution unfortunately WILL NOT work if you are in a quest that refuses to let you fast travel, you will be able to visit your sanctuary, but you WON'T be able to fast travel. For example, the FIRST quest in Aurora will not allow you to fast travel. Also, from that pool area you actually can force yourself out of the pool if you move to the far left corner and just hold toward the edge you slowly force your way out but you do end up in an area that is glitched (the water past the ship area)
So it worked at first I got down to the water, but I can't fast travel because I'm on a current quest.. I'm on the part where u return to kalin after exploring aurora. I've spent so many hours finding everything.. now I'm stuck... help plz!!??
... I don't have Fable III, but will be borrowing it from a friend. ANd uhm...why not just turn the Xbox off manually? Or from the controller, if you prefer. It won't save and you can try again.

all you have to do to fix this glitch is to have someone join your game and gave them pause the game and go to game management and then to load game when your both in there have them go to xbox live dashboard and the one glitching should appear in the sanctuary then fast travel out of the glitch
Fuck fable 3. This is the first time ive ever played any of the fabbles ive always stuck with call of duty since the first one came out and i was in the damn desert after getting the diamond and was returning back and it glitched. I tried your solution to see if it would fix it but it didnt. All i gotta say is fuck the company who made this game for ruining my 10-11 hours i put into this game! Thank you very much bitches!!!

When my game glitched I was in the catacombs right next to one of the gnomes and when I used a flourish on a balverine I somehow fell through the rock. I think your trick works for places other than where yours glitched. :)
I had this glitch whilst I teleported. Basically I was holding hands with my kid, then I walked with her to another town. I then wanted to do a mission for my kid. I teleported whilst holding her hand back to the other town... and she can't possibly be in 2 places at once, and it glitched out in mid teleport to the free-fall... can you help me? Will this same video help me for this?
I need life-alert. I've fallen and I can't get up.. This is really dumb. I tried the holding south and LB for about an hour and no luck. 7 hours wasted of my Friday.. Oh, well.
If that guy's solution doesn't work, try this: Go co-op with someone, if they can run around while you free fall, have the find a chest, dig spot, ect. When they get an item, you should get one too. If your item is a clothing item, instead of pressing A to accept it, push "X". That will bring you to the dressing room and you can fast travel somewhere else and get out of the glitch. It worked for me, hopefully it helps you all out.

i have the exact same problem in the shifting sands as the one you had but the left bumper does not work unfortunatly for me :/ 20 min of l.b and nothing XD Lame , after you got out can you still go back to the shifting sands? :P

enough guild seals anyway. Don't know if you have to sign in a second character but i did while trying other methods to get out which wasnt working, (forgot to mention my character was stuck in one animation, which i have no idea what it was but yeah...) Use one of the teleport to exit portal things and it should reset your character animation back to normal, leave the road to rule and then you can use the sanctuary to get out now! My case seems different to most peoples so i just posted it here
found a fix a situation that happened to me. Finished the mourningwood part where you get major swift to follow you, went to the little swamp town on the way to bowerstone sewers and got tryed to haggle a shopkeeper that wasnt to make healing points cheaper. I seen someone standing outside the and went over to interact with them and then i got teleported somewhere in the sky and landed in a place where my character couldn't move, after a while it will ask to go to the road to rule if you have...
Ok, I'm going to post how exactly my glitch happened. So I was fast travelling from Bowerstone Industrial (Bowerstone Resistance Base to be more specific) to Bowerstone Market and as soon as it loaded, bam, I started falling. I've tried doing the DownLS+LB but it hasn't worked and I don't have Gold Live so I can't invite a friend. Any solutions? Please help :(
Im really glad alot of people have been having their issues fixed, and for the people that arent, keep working and trying to find other solutions. All in all, I just sold my Fable 3, even though i got this character out of the glitch, i had to restart eventually because of my game freezing up. My disc was perfectly fine, its just the game couldnt handle something or another. I hope this will be a lesson to Lionhead the next time they make a game. Finish it first!
@Dasachi Let me clarify a little more on this. My characters save became corrupted, for no reason. My friend had this happen three times to him. My other two friends had no issue with the game until they beat it, then they started having issues. Just like all of ours, and mine.
Worked for me. Thank you. I had to keep at it for about 5 minutes, but eventually the sky went from white to black and the next thing I fell into what looked like a sewer and was able to reach the sanctuary.

@kernermalkavian im not sure about that one man sorry, personally i said fuck it, i dont support fable or any lionhead games anymore. the fact that they havent fixed this yet and its actually on the PC version appalls me even more.

I could adventually see the moon, and then like some sort of horizon appearing, well more like colour shade getting darker and darker the more further i went down.Then plob, landed in the water THANKS

okay so i was on 'the mispeak..' sumthing mission.. n i fell out of the map lyk free falling... i did the LS down n LB... i did it hella times, till it finally showed me in water but i cant see my character lyk urs.... i i tried hitting start but it just throws me to the options menu.... sigh, n wen i walked a few steps i was back in free fall.. iv lost hope.. lol
It seems if down doesnt work after a few min's try Up or "north" with the left control stick and pound the crap out of the left bumper. Took awhile to figure it out, but we got my girls character unstuck doing so.
Yea. I can't do that dude. I'm in Shifting Sands, theres no shops out here. And my friend can't leave the area or he'll fall. I don't know what to do. And this Holding down/up and pressing LB thing is getting us no where it seems like.

I've got 26 hours in the game. I was in shifting sands with one of my buddies going into the veiled path just like you. And we fell just like you. We were in my world so he got out of it. But me, I'm still stuck in the damned fall. I've tried holding the L-Stick and down while pressing the crap out the LB bumper and nothing man. OMG thank you! Although this wouldn't work until some random person on xbox live joined my game and then I jus kept pushing lb and the left analog up and down then it worked.
this happened to me in bowerstone castle. had a friend come and try and find a equipable item with their dog. got nothing. tried the lb hold down thing for over 20 minutes (hurt my fingers) nothing. my character is stuck under a area next to the tomb and a second character will appear right next to the door and cant select me to try the marrying thing. anyone else know of a fix i can try?

@Aleronwolf Well Im going to assume the game autsaved so turning your console off wont work correct? And theres no shops in Bowestone, so my other method wont work. Ill research some more and try to find something out. In the mean time just start trying everything, who knows, you may find a way out thats different from mine.
@johnthomasoconnelljr Not sure if it'll show up at the same place but I'm presently falling through the castle map after fast traveling with a NPC in hand. Tried the left stick with no luck thus far. Going to continue to load and see if it'll fix itself after i clear the cashe.
Well i tried everything and i tried to do it again after my last comment and my data got corrupted. Dumb ass game. I'm now on my fourth data due to this dumbass fuckin glitch.
This method works! hold down and keep pressing Lb, eventually you will hear this weird noise and your screen will flash then you appear in some fucked up place. press start when your here and you will be in the sanctuary. then just fast travel. Exactly what this video says to do. Thank you Dasachi
i didn't get wat to do and wat i tried it didn't work. I spent 10 hours on this campaign and almost beat it 100%. Then this happens in Shifting Sands. I tried this like 50 time and it just won't work. This is so stupid.=( If anyone could tell me when the patch for this comes out that would be great. THX
@Dasachi OKAY im just telling you that if u do spam the start button at the loading screen(may take a few tries) it will take u to the sactuary b4 u start falling but if u dont do it in time u gotta dashboard urself and do it again it works took me 3 tries but it did work. but i agree that this 1 works to it happened to me twice and this worked for me at bowerstone market :D soo thx
@wathstjames20052008 Yes just keep tapping it fast and sooner or later after dashboarding once or twice it will work and u will be at ur sanctuary and then u tele somewhere else b4 exiting the sanc so yeah
Thanks so much for posting how to do this. It just got me out of the glitch. All I did was fast travel from the Dweller Camp to Brightwall and it made me start falling... 3 days later I found this video and now I'm free :D
I tried the holding down the left stick and pressing LB button for 10 min. And nothing so I loaded up the game again and tried holding up the left stick and pressing the shit out of the LB button and brought me back up to the map.it took me about two min.. :-) thank god this worked. I was stuck in millfields. Hope this helps.
Wish that it worked for me but no luck.. I started "falling" when I fast traveled to the castle (not in co-op btw) and the game decided to put me on the outside of the garden wall..
no fix has worked for me thus far.. I tried all the solutions I've seen and in this case went so far as to hold LB and down (south) on stick for ten mins... 29.1 hours of waste.. sigh.

It took me three attempts throughout the day to get it to work. The last, and successful, attempt I did move the left thumb stick around a couple of times out of boredom, but basically held it down while clicking feverishly on the LB button for about half an hour. I finally started seeing some flashes, then two minutes later splash! Lionhead owes you money. Thank you very much!
It didnt work for me but I fell through at Bowerstone Castle so I guess there isnt a glitched area on that stage. You are a lucky mothafucka. lol Havent been able to play my shit since damn near release day.

@Laenera its one of many glitches lionhead knew about pre release and didnt fix it.
ones ive run into are
"the game" quest wont let you finish baron wont pop up!, fly spawning when you zone into a area and end up in a falling mode because the environment didnt spawn before you did, frame rate lag, co-op matchmaking sometimes disconnects you from xbox live, statistics being deleted, all of your gear dissapearing along with your gold..... etc etc etc there are many more >_>
Hey dude. I fell in at the exact same point with the exact same circumstances. I tried all the other things too with my friend trying to help me out. I posted it in a video earlier today and someone dropped your name telling me that you helped them out of it. Well unfortunately it won't work for me. I've tried many combos of calculated button pressing and a lot of button mashing when my patience ran out.
@K2armada Well i got two things from different people. One guy said press LB over and over and it worked for him, another guy said hold down the left stick. Both didnt work for me, but when i tried this it worked. Keep trying. Good Luck.
@Dasachi I wish lionhead would fix the glitches and make the game longer with dlc. Lionhead released this game with the knowledge of these glitches it seems that co-op is buggy I have found that out and stay offline in fable 3 and have run into no glitches so far.
This is after i remade my character for the 4th time though >_>

Unfortunately this didn't work for me. I was fast travelling to Bowerstone Castle with a live co-op and ended up in the sky. I hope a patch will fix this soon, was 27 hours into the game. Brutal glitch.
Oh right, forgot to mention, I was in Bowerstone Old Quarter during The Battle For Albion, when I fell through the ground. Thanks to you I can finally continue my game!

Found the solution(got me out earlier today).
1. Invite a friend on Xbox Live to your game.
2. When they join, they'll land on the ground like they should be.
3. At this point, they need to hit start.
4. From there, they need to hit Load.
5. When they're in the sanctuary, they have to dashboard it.
6. This forces the glitched player into their own sanctuary.
7. Go to your map, click a new area, and leave.

Funnily enough, it happened to me as well on a relationship quest to Bowerstone Castle.
Tried the solution, its not working.
Tried mashing the start button after restarting/reloading, not working.
So I'm still looking for a solution. Would be real nice if Lionhead didn't fuck this up.

I don't see my character and they occasionally go from the top to the bottom of my screen in about a second. How do I fix this? there is no island for me to land on or whatever

@ForgerMike7 get a friend online to run around and go to dig spots in mistpeak valley once you aquire an item that can be equipped ie tattoo, armour, weapons and you can press x to go to the dressing room.

i really hope some1 can help me out... i finished my game with obne hero and tried to make another 1 to have him get evil wings since my first hero has angel wings.... once i got to the merc camp i just fell through the map... i tried again all my heroes fell through at that spot and ONLY that spot.... and now my main hero is there too.... and this didnt work... can any1 provide another solution?

i was in silverpines destroying balverines and i saved and exited the game. Then the next day i came in and i was under the map, not falling, i was able to walk but i coudnt use magic,gun, or my sword and couldnt even go to the sanctuary so im just walking around under the map and cant get back to destroying balverines. Ive tried everything, need help.

the solution in this video didnt work for me, it may of been because this solution is specific to his falling glitch area (I fell when i fast traveled to the bowerstone castle). But i was however able to fix the problem. When you have enough guild seals to buy something in the road to rule and it sometimes gives you the option to press up on the d-pad and teleport to the road to rule, then u use the teleport door at the end of the road to rule and it should place you above your falling position!

This solution unfortunately WILL NOT work if you are in a quest that refuses to let you fast travel, you will be able to visit your sanctuary, but you WON'T be able to fast travel. For example, the FIRST quest in Aurora will not allow you to fast travel. Also, from that pool area you actually can force yourself out of the pool if you move to the far left corner and just hold toward the edge you slowly force your way out but you do end up in an area that is glitched (the water past the ship area)

all you have to do to fix this glitch is to have someone join your game and gave them pause the game and go to game management and then to load game when your both in there have them go to xbox live dashboard and the one glitching should appear in the sanctuary then fast travel out of the glitch

Fuck fable 3. When my game glitched I was in the catacombs right next to one of the gnomes and when I used a flourish on a balverine I somehow fell through the rock. I think your trick works for places other than where yours glitched. :)

I had this glitch whilst I teleported. Basically I was holding hands with my kid, then I walked with her to another town. I then wanted to do a mission for my kid. I teleported whilst holding her hand back to the other town... and she can't possibly be in 2 places at once, and it glitched out in mid teleport to the free-fall... can you help me? If that guy's solution doesn't work, try this: Go co-op with someone, if they can run around while you free fall, have the find a chest, dig spot, ect. When they get an item, you should get one too. If your item is a clothing item, instead of pressing A to accept it, push "X". That will bring you to the dressing room and you can fast travel somewhere else and get out of the glitch. It worked for me, hopefully it helps you all out.

enough guild seals anyway. Don't know if you have to sign in a second character but i did while trying other methods to get out which wasnt working, (forgot to mention my character was stuck in one animation, which i have no idea what it was but yeah...) Use one of the teleport to exit portal things and it should reset your character animation back to normal, leave the road to rule and then you can use the sanctuary to get out now! My case seems different to most peoples so i just posted it here

found a fix a situation that happened to me. Finished the mourningwood part where you get major swift to follow you, went to the little swamp town on the way to bowerstone sewers and got tryed to haggle a shopkeeper that wasnt to make healing points cheaper. I seen someone standing outside the and went over to interact with them and then i got teleported somewhere in the sky and landed in a place where my character couldn't move, after a while it will ask to go to the road to rule if you have...

Ok, I'm going to post how exactly my glitch happened. So I was fast travelling from Bowerstone Industrial (Bowerstone Resistance Base to be more specific) to Bowerstone Market and as soon as it loaded, bam, I started falling. I've tried doing the DownLS+LB but it hasn't worked and I don't have Gold Live so I can't invite a friend. Any solutions? Please help :(

Im really glad alot of people have been having their issues fixed, and for the people that arent, keep working and trying to find other solutions. All in all, I just sold my Fable 3, even though i got this character out of the glitch, i had to restart eventually because of my game freezing up. My disc was perfectly fine, its just the game couldnt handle something or another. I hope this will be a lesson to Lionhead the next time they make a game. Finish it first!

@Dasachi Let me clarify a little more on this. My characters save became corrupted, for no reason. My friend had this happen three times to him. My other two friends had no issue with the game until they beat it, then they started having issues. Just like all of ours, and mine.

Worked for me. Thank you. I had to keep at it for about 5 minutes, but eventually the sky went from white to black and the next thing I fell into what looked like a sewer and was able to reach the sanctuary.

It seems if down doesnt work after a few min's try Up or "north" with the left control stick and pound the crap out of the left bumper. Took awhile to figure it out, but we got my girls character unstuck doing so.

I've got 26 hours in the game. I was in shifting sands with one of my buddies going into the veiled path just like you. And we fell just like you. We were in my world so he got out of it. But me, I'm still stuck in the damned fall. I've tried holding the L-Stick and down while pressing the crap out the LB bumper and nothing man. this happened to me in bowerstone castle. had a friend come and try and find a equipable item with their dog. got nothing. tried the lb hold down thing for over 20 minutes (hurt my fingers) nothing. my character is stuck under a area next to the tomb and a second character will appear right next to the door and cant select me to try the marrying thing. anyone else know of a fix i can try?

@Aleronwolf Well Im going to assume the game autsaved so turning your console off wont work correct? And theres no shops in Bowestone, so my other method wont work. Ill research some more and try to find something out. In the mean time just start trying everything, who knows, you may find a way out thats different from mine.

I had the same problem 25 hrs of game play.
I tried the holding down the left stick and pressing LB button for 10 min. And nothing so I loaded up the game again and tried holding up the left stick and pressing the shit out of the LB button and brought me back up to the map.it took me about two min.. :-) thank god this worked. I was stuck in millfields. Hope this helps.

Wish that it worked for me but no luck.. I started "falling" when I fast traveled to the castle (not in co-op btw) and the game decided to put me on the outside of the garden wall..
no fix has worked for me thus far.. I tried all the solutions I've seen and in this case went so far as to hold LB and down (south) on stick for ten mins... 29.1 hours of waste.. sigh.

Thank You!! Playing co-op in shifting sands. Just as you described. I was about 36hrs into the game at this point.
It took me three attempts throughout the day to get it to work. The last, and successful, attempt I did move the left thumb stick around a couple of times out of boredom, but basically held it down while clicking feverishly on the LB button for about half an hour. I finally started seeing some flashes, then two minutes later splash! Lionhead owes you money. Thank you very much!

ones ive run into are
"the game" quest wont let you finish baron wont pop up!, fly spawning when you zone into a area and end up in a falling mode because the environment didnt spawn before you did, frame rate lag, co-op matchmaking sometimes disconnects you from xbox live, statistics being deleted, all of your gear dissapearing along with your gold..... etc etc etc there are many more >_>

Hey dude. I fell in at the exact same point with the exact same circumstances. I tried all the other things too with my friend trying to help me out. I posted it in a video earlier today and someone dropped your name telling me that you helped them out of it. Well unfortunately it won't work for me. I've tried many combos of calculated button pressing and a lot of button mashing when my patience ran out.

@Dasachi I wish lionhead would fix the glitches and make the game longer with dlc. Lionhead released this game with the knowledge of these glitches it seems that co-op is buggy I have found that out and stay offline in fable 3 and have run into no glitches so far.
This is after i remade my character for the 4th time though >_>
