@JuliaGarrett Look for Gunmod's camera hack from Mod The Sims and install that. It gives you all sorts of lenience when it comes to camera angles. As for good quality, alter the camera settings to their highest and save the file as something high-quality. In other words, ditch Windows Movie Maker; it destroys the quality of your video. Seeing that I don't do this sort of thing often, I wouldn't be able to help with video quality; just poke around the internet for something useful.

@cele657 Try the slow motion cheat. Pull up the cheat console, then type "slowmotion 1" or any other number up to 8. You can also use decimals to get really specific. I'm pretty sure 1 is the default speed, so if you want to change it back just type slowmotion 1 again. If not that, then it's 0. I forgot, heheh.

@DEECEE918 It might not be a problem with Youtube, but your quality settings in-game. Make sure your camera is set to the highest quality and largest size by going into the options menu and clicking on the camera. If you already have all that set up, it could just be movie maker. If it's anything like it is on a PC, it'll degrade the quality quite a bit.

@MusicalChick99 Ahh sorry for the delayed response; I didn't quite understand what you meant, but now I do. To display other homes in the neighborhood, go to options and I think it's under camera settings or miscellaneous or something...I really have no idea. Once there, there'll be something that toggles whether or not you want to view your neighbors. Set that to "on". And that's it! I hope...Haven't played in a while, so I can't be too sure.
@osmcooljen You can either make one yourself in-game using the locker wardrobes from the University expansion pack as lockers, or you can download one. There are plenty floating around the internet. But if you don't want to check Google, Mod the Sims has one for sure.

@lindsayy1981 I know the feeling with plots and such. For reversing videos, yes, you would need special software. Windows Movie Maker can't do it by default, but there are some effects you can download from websites and you might be able to download reverse-effects for it as well. As for close ups and going far away, go on modthesims[dot]info and look for Gunmod's camera hack. It makes all cameras in CAS, in-game, and in the neighborhood able to zoom in and out further.
@lindsayy1981 to help you get closer shots on your keyboard press y and that will take you into CameraMan mode press z to zoom in and x to zoom out while you can move the camera with your mouse! Contact me on my channel if you need help with anything eles
@thedafe My computer does the same thing (goes slow motion when recording). I'm actually not entirely sure if it's an issue with the computer or if all computers do the same thing, but you should know that while it's going in slow motion, video playback is at normal speed. The slow motion is frustrating, but unless you want to sacriifice quality, there's nothing you can do about it.

@lillylava Its this click on Titles And Credits, then click on Titles On The Selected Clip, then type what you want, different sizes, fonts, colours and effects! Dont worry when your figuring out which stuff to use for it, it will just show with the flower in backround but never mind that, when you finished just click on done! :D
@fishbowltakerII setting the graphics in-game helps, but you should probably go to your camera options by clicking on the camera. i usually have mine set at medium quality and size because my computer can't handle it. if yours can, put it on high quality and the largest size.

@pokythecat5 Wait what? Oh yeah, this happened to me before too. First of all, on modthesims2, make sure you are SAVING the item, not OPENING it. Save it to Your documents, then EA games, The Sims 2, Then downloads. When its done downloading, click open folder. Right Click on the Rar or Zip File you want to download, the extract here. I always right click twice to make sure it worked. If On the Sims 2, nothing is showing up? I`ve never had that before, but try a tutorial.
i'm not entirely sure what you mean. do you mean the tooltips that come up on the /right/ hand side? i don't know of any other boxes. you can try pulling up the cheat log (ctrl+shift+c) then type in help -all. unfortunately i forgot the real code, but look for one that disables tool tips and other messages.

most of the time people use hacks to make their sims do things. i would recommend downloading the boxes from jaydee sims (not sure of the link; google it) that correspond with the expansion packs you have.

that's all trial and error. pause, rotate the camera, then click once where you want them to go that's DIRECTLY in front of them, then press play again. if it's far away enough, they'll run. if it's too close, they'll still walk.
the pixels come from having your videos set at a low quality and small size. to fix this, in your game, go to the options, then click on the camera and set the camera options to a larger setting. i usually use medium size with medium quality, but most people use high quality with large size.
air guitar is an action your sim does when talking about music. c:~ you can download some talk hacks from modthesims . info to get them to do it quicker.

go to options (the ... button on the dashboard), then click on the camera for camera options. change the settings from low quality to medium or high quality and there you go. (:~ you can do this for both videos and snapshots. however, be sure to change the size as well or else videos will still be blurry when they're resized to youtube size. i usually do the largest size on medium quality; works like a dream for me.

they're not really walking around their neighborhoods. what's actually happening is that they're making an area similar to the neighborhood and walking their sims around in it. if there's another way, i'm not sure of what it is.

I have one question, when your making a sims 2 movie, How do you pause it to a different scene? Like If you say in a video, Be right back,, you pause it, and then you play it, How can you do that in the sims 2?

in the settings they should have a play sound option, if u want sound click on enable. and if u keep getting the space error messages put the size on medium or small, cuz ur computer probably cant take it. hope that helps u~ ^^

i have actually never tried making a movie, but i have read before that if u go in as if u were to exit the game ( the 3 dots on the control panel) then there is a bunch of options i dont remember which 1 it exactly is though. but its like graphic options, credits, ect. click on 1 of those then it will say camera options, just change everything to high. it may slow down the game, but its worth it bcause u can always change it back.
the only major problem im having is that i can't get the camera to move in close enough and i can't get it to move smoothly like you see in a lot of these movies... it's driving me mad!!!! hahaa
most people have a download that allows them to zoom in that far. i use gunmod's camera hack from modthesims2, mainly because i don't know of anything better. x3~

whenever i download something from a website like modthesims, it never works. there's even this thing that pops up asking to enable or disable custom content. i click enable but it still never shows up. do you know how i might be able to fix that??
hmm, are you putting everything in your downloads folder? you might also have certain mods/hacks/items conflicting with each other, but i'm no genius about this sort of stuff.
usually when you enable custom content, you have to restart the game for it to be really enabled. i think you may have tried that already but eh. = u= i'm not really good with this sort of thing; i'm sorry.

i'm not entirely sure what you mean. do you mean the tooltips that come up on the /right/ hand side? i don't know of any other boxes. you can try pulling up the cheat log (ctrl+shift+c) then type in help -all. unfortunately i forgot the real code, but look for one that disables tool tips and other messages.

try using a money cheat. c:~ pull up the cheat log (ctrl + shift + c), then type motherlode. you'll have 50000 extra simoleons to spend.

most of the time people use hacks to make their sims do things. i would recommend downloading the boxes from jaydee sims (not sure of the link; google it) that correspond with the expansion packs you have.

that's all trial and error. pause, rotate the camera, then click once where you want them to go that's DIRECTLY in front of them, then press play again. if it's far away enough, they'll run. if it's too close, they'll still walk.

the pixels come from having your videos set at a low quality and small size. to fix this, in your game, go to the options, then click on the camera and set the camera options to a larger setting. i usually use medium size with medium quality, but most people use high quality with large size.

air guitar is an action your sim does when talking about music. c:~ you can download some talk hacks from modthesims . info to get them to do it quicker.

Well one time I was on my sims 2 games and I wanted to make a quiet movie with no sound and right after I was done I unmuted the sound and put everything kinda were it was supposed to be and now everytime I make a video and then watch it then it suddenly has no sound and I try everything to make it work. What do I do? I really need your help PLEASE.

go to options (the ... button on the dashboard), then click on the camera for camera options. change the settings from low quality to medium or high quality and there you go. (:~ you can do this for both videos and snapshots. however, be sure to change the size as well or else videos will still be blurry when they're resized to youtube size. i usually do the largest size on medium quality; works like a dream for me.

actually, "help" only brings up a few. :3 typing "help -all" will bring /all/ of the cheats.

they're not really walking around their neighborhoods. what's actually happening is that they're making an area similar to the neighborhood and walking their sims around in it. if there's another way, i'm not sure of what it is.
just a little note: you can walk around your neighborhoods in the sims 3. c:

absolutely! if you go into options and click on the camera, you'll find the camera options. if you have a high-end computer, don't be shy to set them all to high-quality, or even high-uncompressed. however, if it's not the best, try medium size and high quality. otherwise, the recording will be painfully slow. it won't affect the speed of the video, though, so if you're patient, go ahead and set everything to high quality. (:~

I have one question, when your making a sims 2 movie, How do you pause it to a different scene? Like If you say in a video, Be right back,, you pause it, and then you play it, How can you do that in the sims 2?

you'll have to change the settings in options. c:~ go to options, then click on the camera, and play around the the settings a bit. set the quality to medium or high (or super high if your computer can take it) and change the size to medium or large. hope that helps. <3

yeah..but why when i recorded it..and it has no sound....when i pick large...it will says something errors becouse of Spaces...And it says the video is extreme high spaces...And the video has no voice..Can you help??

in the settings they should have a play sound option, if u want sound click on enable. and if u keep getting the space error messages put the size on medium or small, cuz ur computer probably cant take it. hope that helps u~ ^^

i have actually never tried making a movie, but i have read before that if u go in as if u were to exit the game ( the 3 dots on the control panel) then there is a bunch of options i dont remember which 1 it exactly is though. but its like graphic options, credits, ect. click on 1 of those then it will say camera options, just change everything to high. it may slow down the game, but its worth it bcause u can always change it back.

most people have a download that allows them to zoom in that far. i use gunmod's camera hack from modthesims2, mainly because i don't know of anything better. x3~

whenever i download something from a website like modthesims, it never works. there's even this thing that pops up asking to enable or disable custom content. i click enable but it still never shows up. do you know how i might be able to fix that??

hmm, are you putting everything in your downloads folder? you might also have certain mods/hacks/items conflicting with each other, but i'm no genius about this sort of stuff.
usually when you enable custom content, you have to restart the game for it to be really enabled. i think you may have tried that already but eh. = u= i'm not really good with this sort of thing; i'm sorry.
