WWE Divas should learn from TNA Knockouts! It's not the looks and style on the body, but the looks and style of fighting in the ring!
And seeing the WWE targeting Kids, why the hell have Divas in the first place??
I mean, WWE became a family show! Not enough males, unless maybe dumbass Teenagers (no offense), but specifically adult men, would actually appreciate them because well...THEY ARE MARRIED!!
The Rock is half samoan and shouldve had one boot on is hilarious LOL. But in any event I like Priceless, or Legacy, or whatever because after years of watching guys like Snitsky, and Luther Reigns, and Chris Masters, and Heidenreich raping Michael Cole, this is at least some non-jacked up guys (except for Ortons steroid use) who are getting a chance and they dont completley suck on the mic.
I laughed because it was funny, heh. Nothing's forced on this show, or at least it better not be. I laughed because I couldn't even tell you how much $ I've blown on bitches, ha
Hey is it me or is this sting vs joe fued a wcw 2000 storyline all over again, which I mean the new blood storyline, new vs old type thing , pick your side etc. The only thing I think is that the 2000 angle had better talent.
i think TNA could be on the verge of a big break if they trim the fat a bit. By fat I mean all the gimmicky, 80s/early 90s feeling sophomoric shit that they use as filler (everyone who isn't a headliner seems to have some annoying gimmick and no good storylines). also did any of you guys find it funny/strange that after 15 mins of ranting about pushing young guys the other night on Impact Jarrett than debuts friggin Mick Foley??!! I just can't see what can really come out of that to be honest...
Samoa Joe shouldn't be dropping the belt to anybody anytime soon, heh, his badly booked title reign not withstanding. In a perfect world his reign should have been dominant, ushering in a new era for TNA, but instead he's made to look not-so-strong with the usual suspects he should be tearing through. That being said, he could still recover(maybe), and when he does drop the title, it should be to whomever is going to be carrying the mantle for TNA next, their next big star, & that's not AJ

I've been to one(WM20) and it was a good one, so I've had my fill. I would have loved to have seen Michaels/Flair, of course, but to sit through 3 more hours of sub-par crap just for that wasn't worth the time & effort. There hasn't been a WM main event that's drawn me in since 20 anyway.

That would be me who has never seen The Beautiful People. TNA is shown here on Thursday nights when The Office and It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia are on so I never watch it. Going into the PPV I don't think I've seen anything TNA had done since Lockdown and before that was probably Bound For Glory 2007.
im glad its sunny in philly , im nt a tna fan bt a wrestling fan an i still watch it i dnt jus watch the ppv in my view how can u gt in2 a ppv without seeing the build up jus doesnt make sense can ask do u see yorself as a fan or a critic
tna should take note of wwe's playbook and just have every former wwe job to every tna homegrown superstar. from my point of view russo keeps pushing all former wwe wrestlers (not superstars) over the tna SUPERSTARS who have been with tna fromthe begining, stars like aj styles, beer money inc. and chris danials (who sux as curry man).
frist of all, props for the "in memory of"..now on topic, I personally think the "Fire Russo" chants are warranted because of the idiocy that he uses with his "writing" style. I mean, it's been said for the last 10+ years, but if he used more basic wrestling logic, TNA would be alot better than it is. I would attend a TNA show here in Denver, but only a house show. I wouldn't go to a TV or PPV until they tone down on all the skits and bullshyt storylines that make no sense.
i agree with u, storylines should be reserved for the people with title belts, and not 4 guy's like jay leathalor the prince brotherhodd of justice ( witch totaly sux )or the abyss story line where he keeps coming out to save whom ever is in trouble.
well, I agree that the titles should be the main "stories" on the show, but the "storylines" SHOULD be for the lower guys. the reason you have a storyline is to make you eventually care about somebody like Lethal or Abyss or hell, even Eric Young. it gives them TV time for us to get used to seeing these guys. but in executing these stories, it has to make some kind of sense in the Pro Wrestling "universe". you can't have too many "real world" situations, because wrestling ISN'T the real world.
(just to finish my thought)..that's why Russo's style really sucks. he writes like this is real, when we all know it's not. just like we don't go to see Iron Man and the Dark Knight thinking that those characters are real. the only real world aspect that there should EVER be in pro wrestling is the competition aspect. "I want to be the World Champion" is absolutely all you need. Pro Wrestling is supposed to resemble a SPORT, NOT an 80's action flick, like both Vince's are trying to force on us.
Firstly, you're right that storylines should be used for lower card guys because as Lawrence has said on the show, belts are their own storyline. Not to say there can't be storylines involving titles, but the point is why not give feuds & angles for lower guys to do when they don't have titles to fight over? As for the rest, I disagree ; Russo writes like it's real? Are you kidding? The creator of Kane, Mr. McMahon, The Ministry, etc.? The 80s joke is funny though, heh.
I have seen TNA live twice and got to get in the ring and take a picture with angle and meet alot of other guys it kicked ass.i've seen flair, sting, luger, roadwarriors, stieners.and alot of naw/wcw shows and in a way tna can hang but they have to show more wrestling and less gimmicks.thanks for the show i love it.
haha, thanks for the compliments and enjoying the show. I actually think background music is extremely distracting, but thanks for the suggestion all the same!
This is off topic but id love to hear your thoughts on the upcoming lesnar fight and (this is even more off topic but I think you're somewhat of a mma fan) your thoughts on the affliction and golden boy co promotion which will be mixing boxing and mma.
Actually, we'll be talking about the Lesnar/Couture fight on next week's show, so stayed tuned for that one, it's a great talk. As for Affliction & Golden Boy, it sounds cool on paper, but when you think about the logistics, it's a disaster. It KILLS the pacing of an MMA show to feature some, or even ONE, boxing fight. How can you go from an MMA fight, w/ let's say three 3 minute rounds, then a boxing fight w/ 12 five minute rounds? It also limits the amount of MMA fights. Thanks for asking!
no offence, but how can you pick TNA with ppv's like Hard Justice, over WWE's WrestleMania? i understand you want to give them a chance, but when they fuck people over with there bullshit, i just don't get it
It's actually easy ; I've been to tons of WWE shows, including WrestleMania 20(and really, just because it's in a bigger arena doesn't mean the show'll be better imo, and looks like I've been pretty much right since 04, heh.), and TNA is a least a little different. The house show I went to two years ago was very good, the TV I went to this year was fun, so I figured maybe it's better that's a good track record. The PPV wasn't great(main event sucked) but still mostly fun
ok then, fair enough. i understand your opinion. but when you say that the ppv wasn't good but will give them another chance, but you seem to give up on WWE doesn't seem right. i'm not a WWE mark nor a TNA hater, cause i plan on watching BFG and seeing what happens from there. but TNA imo have been pretty shit this year, compared to WWE having a decent year
I get where you're coming from, as I was afraid people would get the impression we're pro-TNA or what not. Truth be told, however, we barely knew the card going in! ha, we just bought the tickets almost blindly. That being said, of the TNA shows I've attended live, I haven't left feeling ripped off badly, so that's why I think I'd be more likely to attend again. You probably know our feelings on WWE ppvs this year & it differs from yours, and I don't order most TNA ones anyway, heh. Thanks
Now that you mention it, I'm surprised Vince didn't have The Rock wrestle in one boot when he first started out as Rocky Maivia. "Out of respect for his grandfather" Vince would say.
Well, I hate the direction of the company, the TV show, a lot of the gimmicks, the booking, etc. But they at least have a couple things going for them I'm entertained by. Nothing to make me watch the show every week, of course, but when they swing by the area, I enjoy seeing enough guys that I thought it'd be worth seeing, and while it was far from a great show, overall it was pretty fun. Kind of like a big indy show almost. We didn't rip the cage match enough in retrospect, but we had fun
ok Jay Lethal is an awsome wrestler so when ppl say hes a macho man rip off and you think everyone needs a gimmick and everyone needs some way of wrestling and he pulls it off
Jay Lethal's gimmick IS a Macho Man rip-off. That's got nothing to do with his wrestling ability. Yeah, he pulls the impression off, but nobody gets to the top of wrestling directly ripping off somebody like that. You have to at least have a different or dissimilar name.
Good to have the roundtable back and I'm glad Chris gave some props to The Beautiful People. They are the best characters in TNA right now, every segment they do makes you really hate them or makes you bust out laughing. Even though their ring work isnt the best and have now been forced to carry Kip James as their valet, they are still the only match/segment I seek out on the web.
Thanks for enjoying the show & adding your thoughts. Although, truth be told, half the match was being spent by my section looking up one of their skirts, ha. We'd pop every time she'd jump up & down on the ropes while she was on the outside, very funny. That being said, it was a good match, and I think ODB deserves a lot of credit too for being taking on a different gimmick, not letting it slip in to Austin comparison territory, getting it over, and wrestling well.
I can't even remember what happen at hard justice. That's ashame man. I can remember every pay per view from the WWE, but not in TNA. That tells you that this company has to step it up big time.
Foley has already started taking independent bookings as Cactus Jack. GCW, November 8th is the one I know of. I hope Foley can help out the young talent. I'm sure he will, since he has never had a problem putting someone over.
One would hope that, and it seems completely realistic for the unselfish Foley to do that, but his first match looks to be like Angle and everyone's talking about facing Sting again. Not exactly off to a fresh start, heh, but I'm sure we'll get Abyss & Samoa Joe matches down the line so it should be good.
He'll be in WWE's HOF for sure, I would think. As for him going to TNA, of course it's a smart move, and one he not only should have made years ago, but he & several OTHER people should have (RVD, Carlito & Matt Hardy come to mind). I'm sure all of those guys saved enough money during their careers to be financially well off. Why resign with WWE for a little more when you know your career will be stagnant, when you can go somewhere else(TNA), try to build that up & help wrestling as a whole?
I'm glad someone said that. Hogan, Hall, and Nash need to shoulder a lot of the blame for WCW. Bischoff let them run roughshod and call their on shots, AND had to keep raising their salaries because all three had clauses to be the highest paid in the company.
stop it...Hall n Nash werent a BIG factor for why wcw closed down. Yea they had big contracts but who in wcw didnt? also name me a time they refused to job? On top of that they were always entertaining and put buts in seats
To the Steiners (refused to job)and they jobbed Harlem Heat. There's two examples. Want more? That's why I say BOTH sides are at fault. Bischoff and Hall/ Nash/ Hogan.
who told you they refused to job!?? the bookers wanted the outsiders to win to build them up since they were new and they wanted the nwo to look strong at the time. Also Hall always jobbed!!! he jobbed to jericho, konnan, luger, gave zybysko major pop...and Nash jobbed to Rey Mysterio!!!
If Hogan, Hall and Nash had big contracts and got all that pull then who's fault is it really? Theirs or the people that gave them the power in the first place?
People can point fingers at Hogan, Russo, Bischoff, Sullivan, Nash or whoever they like, but there's what that overrides all of them when it comes to how or why WCW failed : The higher-ups in Turner/AOL/Time Warner never cared about wrestling and let the inmates run the asylum, which leads them getting those contracts. BUT, the real reason wrestling companies fail : BAD BOOKING. Hogan, Hall, Nash, etc. having big contracts and creative control all happened during their most successful period
Thanks again. I like to keep other entertainers besides wrestlers in people's minds, just to remind everyone there is life outside of wrestling ;) heh

Russo sucks. end of story.
and I don't get Manu, either. He's a freakin' Samoan, and yet he's not barefoot. wtf...

Russo just needs a filter, is all.

Foley has already started taking independent bookings as Cactus Jack. GCW, November 8th is the one I know of. I hope Foley can help out the young talent. I'm sure he will, since he has never had a problem putting someone over.
WickedNemesis 3 years ago
One would hope that, and it seems completely realistic for the unselfish Foley to do that, but his first match looks to be like Angle and everyone's talking about facing Sting again. Not exactly off to a fresh start, heh, but I'm sure we'll get Abyss & Samoa Joe matches down the line so it should be good.

Talk about Foley in TNA! Smart move or dumb decision...? Will he be inducted in wwe hall of fame now?
mattchewkissmyazz 3 years ago
I was thinking the same thing, since I watched his interview when he left WWE and they took him off the Alumni page, which is pretty bad.
B44501xRacerEX 3 years ago
He'll be in WWE's HOF for sure, I would think. As for him going to TNA, of course it's a smart move, and one he not only should have made years ago, but he & several OTHER people should have (RVD, Carlito & Matt Hardy come to mind). I'm sure all of those guys saved enough money during their careers to be financially well off. Why resign with WWE for a little more when you know your career will be stagnant, when you can go somewhere else(TNA), try to build that up & help wrestling as a whole?

I saw Bound for Glory in the Detroit area a few years ago and it was pretty hot that night.

Vince Russo ruined WCW, and he's ruining TNA.

hey dont forget Hulk Hogan aqnd all other guys who didnt pass torch
sawyerg13 3 years ago
I'm glad someone said that. Hogan, Hall, and Nash need to shoulder a lot of the blame for WCW. Bischoff let them run roughshod and call their on shots, AND had to keep raising their salaries because all three had clauses to be the highest paid in the company.
WickedNemesis 3 years ago
stop it...Hall n Nash werent a BIG factor for why wcw closed down. Yea they had big contracts but who in wcw didnt? also name me a time they refused to job? On top of that they were always entertaining and put buts in seats
MIMIOMAR 3 years ago
To the Steiners (refused to job)and they jobbed Harlem Heat. There's two examples. Want more? That's why I say BOTH sides are at fault. Bischoff and Hall/ Nash/ Hogan.
WickedNemesis 3 years ago
who told you they refused to job!?? the bookers wanted the outsiders to win to build them up since they were new and they wanted the nwo to look strong at the time. Also Hall always jobbed!!! he jobbed to jericho, konnan, luger, gave zybysko major pop...and Nash jobbed to Rey Mysterio!!!
MIMIOMAR 3 years ago
If Hogan, Hall and Nash had big contracts and got all that pull then who's fault is it really? Theirs or the people that gave them the power in the first place?
ChrisRoundTable 3 years ago
People can point fingers at Hogan, Russo, Bischoff, Sullivan, Nash or whoever they like, but there's what that overrides all of them when it comes to how or why WCW failed : The higher-ups in Turner/AOL/Time Warner never cared about wrestling and let the inmates run the asylum, which leads them getting those contracts. BUT, the real reason wrestling companies fail : BAD BOOKING. Hogan, Hall, Nash, etc. having big contracts and creative control all happened during their most successful period
