What makes this song so incredibly resonating is that the words are sad and very true that apply to Shane. He's a talent that is flawed by the addiction he so poignantly sings of. This is a magnificently haunting tune

@barky87 he can play the bodhran, guitar, piano,harmonica and banjo, altho some he plays more than most, he doesnt many instruments too often live because he has the rest of the bad, the reason he doesnt play on ftony is because he didnt play that piano part in the first place he only sits at the piano there to set an ambiance.

lip sync was standard on tv in the 80's. Artist were asked in alot of shows, so i gues that it was way cheaper than let a whole band play and do sound checks and whatever it takes for a life performance.

Anyway, if they would bring back 80's television back, i wouldn't mind the lip sync, because it's always better

than the crap that is shown today on tv.

@COCKYBOiii yeah, I'd say it is popular in the US. Definitely big here in New York. Probably not as massive as it is in Ireland or UK. My UK friend says it is too cliche, overplayed in Britain. Definitely not a problem here. Not nearly as big as, say, Lennon's Happy Xmas
