  • Thanks so much for uploading this. I went to bed listening to her voice every night on CBS Radio Mystery Theater. Now I get to see what she looks like. Thanks.

  • Dear TheZ58: "My dear friend, you will get a kick out of reading how DENNIS PARKER (Derek Mallory) got me in trouble at one of the most 'notorious' nightclubs in Orlando back in the early 80's. He was promoting his album, "Like An Eagle" (yes, I was and still am a disco fan) and . . . well, read it yourself just GOOGLE: dangerous minds dennis parker from porn to disco to edge of night and scroll down 'till you find my blog . . ."

  • @publicitypunk A definite must-read for me! after i wind down from dinner & then biking home from the Avenues & gazing at the moon...Cheers! Still am a big Dennis Parker/Wade Nichols fan. I always wondered how Jennifer Taylor felt after kissing Parker on Edge in several scenes? The opening intro of them kissing in 1984 was the hottest open-mouth kiss I've ever seen on Edge of Night, which generally had few to no bedroom scenes save what was left to our own imaginations...which is usually better.

  • Dear TheZ58: "The creator of EON - Irving Vendig - wrote the show from his home in Sarasota, Florida. EON fan club presdient Frances Nonemacher lived in Pensacola, Florida and EON's #1 fan (next to you) lives in Orlando, Florida! To see me and one of the stars from "As The World Turns" GOOGLE: greg may colleen zenk

  • @publicitypunk I like that. I supposed if I had had a child I would have named him or her EDGE OF NIGHT...

  • @publicitypunk P.S. I saw an old film noir tonight with a friend called "They Won't Believe Me". It was similar in tone, style & writing of Vendig's "Edge of Night". I fell in love with it. What a twisted film with one of the most surprising endings I never saw coming. I am stimulated beyond stimulation after seeing it. Robert Young and Susan Heyward stars...

  • Dear TheZ58: "Frances Nonemacher - who used to live in Pensacola, Florida but moved to Alabama - was the fan club president of "The Edge of Night". She wrote me after EON went off the air that she had boxes and boxes full of photos and memorabilia from EON. I am curious if she is still alive - she would LOVE your video blogsite!"

  • Dear TheZ58: "I wrote a letter once to LOIS KIBBEE (Geraldine Whitney) and she answered it! It was just like getting a letter from an aunt or your grandmother. She was one cool lady and she was also the co-writer of EON."

  • @publicitypunk That's fantastic! There should be an Edge website to see all the shared memorabilia, letters, etc. from the Players to die-hard fans & probably is at Mark's Edge of Night HP. After writing to Edge long ago over my sadness of the show ending I rec'd a postcard signed by ERWIN NICHOLSON stating his enthusiasm for keeping Edge alive in syndication when P&G and ABC canceled Edge in 1984. But that postcard is now as lost as Nicole's engagement & wedding ring to Adam Drake. Cheers!

  • Dear TheZ58: "Your kind words about my knowledge of "The Edge of Night" made my day!"

  • GREG MAY of Orlando, FL says: "Dear 'TheZ58: Keith Whitney was first seen by EON viewers lying in a hospital bed swathed in bandages because he had just cracked up his sports car. His mother, Geraldine, laid down the law beside his bed that "there will be NO scandal in this family!" since his brother Colin was running for senator. The producer had him wrapped in bandages to conceal the actor's long hair and beard when he would re-emerge as Jonah Lockwood. "

  • @publicitypunk I was in love with Jonah Lockwood.

  • GREG MAY of Orlando, FL says: "Does anyone remember the ONLY time EON was aired without commercials? It was the episode where the murderous Keith Whitney pushed Uncle Charles (Geraldine's brother) off the top of the abandoned lighthouse. The episode showed Keith coming across the lake in a motorboat and climbing the spiral stairway to the top of the tower. The shocking scene where he flung Charles off the top was made even more dramatic by Paul Taubman's chilling organ chords."

  • @publicitypunk That episode was probably my favorite Edge episodes when I was growing up along w/Keith's dramatic presidential oath quote to fulfill Geraldine's wish & then Keith's fatal fall at Gerry's feet after Gerry saved Laurie. The tragic end of Jonah/Keith who probably loved Laurie after all was heartbroken (though he had to kill her too to save a political career already doomed). I was sad for many days after I seeing that episode. Jonah & Laurie Ann, one of Edge's saddest love stories.

  • @publicitypunk p.s. I re-read summaries of Keith/Jonah's death and started to cry again over Keith's tragic death...so I figured I must be half insane because of my fascination with fictional Jonah Lockwood/Keith Whitney's death that still tears my heart apart after more than thirty years...

  • OMG, I finally get to see what she looks like. For years she was just a voice on the CBS Radio Mystery Theater. Thanks for posting this.

  • Feinstein was apart of Edge up to the ending of Martha's trial (end of Spring 1975?). Then Feinstein like Keane (Martha--moved to FL) were both gone along with other favorites that same year like Alberta Grant (Liz Hillyer--moved to Italy), Ted Tinling (Vic Lamont--killed off instead of John Dallas) and Maeve McGuire (Nicole--presumed "dead") who had left in May 1974...but McGuire returned much to our happiness just before Edge moved to ABC.

#4 was just clips from two1975 episodes on CBS....

  • I didn't realize Alan Feinstein was still on the show by this point.

  • Is this from the famous 90 minute episode that aired on ABC?

  • GREG MAY of Orlando,FL says: "The Edge of Night reached its zenith in storyline popularity when it was written by Henry Slesar. Slesar created the most memorable storylines like the Whitney saga, the crook hiding under the Marceau's house and the Serena/Josie storyline. Shame on CBS for cancelling this classic serial!

  • These were some of the last episodes shown on CBS in November, 1975.

  • @Soapking1965 my absolute favourite EON scenes from this time period were when con artist Noel and Tracy Dallas were going to share a tawdry evening in Geraldine Whitney's house, unaware that Geraldine was, in fact, home, and the drama when she discovered them making out on her couch. She was later bludgeoned, which accounts for her being in a coma in these clips, which must have been from the following week.

  • Was the show on ABC by this time?

  • @adelgado75, the show switched to ABC the first week of December1975.
