I cried myself to sleep yesterday after seeing the premiere here in Italy. 19 years of waiting, man, 19 years. I was 6 years old when last crusade came out, it was one of the first movies I ever watched at the movies in all my life along with BTTF part 3. Why, why, why did they do this to Indy? How could they do this to him? It's lucas, isn't it? That guy is destroyng everything we've learned to care for in the old epic movies.. I am so disappointed,so hartbroken..I fell like I've been betrayied

Just a suggestion: If you were a kid watching Indiana Jones 4 today, you might be blown away. The problem with adding sequels is people aren't going in expecting a simple cinematic experience. They are expecting the same feelings they had when watching the earlier movies; but it's not so much that the story changed, it's that the viewer has. You can't inject nostalgia into something new. But the child who sees Indy 4 may very well remember it years from now the way you remember Indy 1 - 3.

The third movie was boring as hell. No humor and no real enemy to go against Indiana. The movie was saved by Sean Connery. That was the only reason to even see it. The last act of the movie was fun. That's about it.

Indy IV was not better than Raiders, but it is way better than the Last Crusade.
