I'm Photosensitive too! In my case I use dark lenses though. Most people believe my eyes are brown, they are not LOL :)

Oh, another thing. Those strengths are only available with clear lenses and no bifocal. I don't know how particular you are about your appearance, but I just read with a pair of half-height readers from the drug-store jammed on over my glasses, and use clip-on sun-shades.

There are stick-on bifocals available if you use them, but they can be hard to find.

I hope this helps. For $35, you can't go too far wrong.

Here's some information you might use.

Check out ZenniOptical . Com. You can get some pretty good deals there. It's hard to tell, but my glasses may actually be stronger than yours. I still managed to get a set of glasses for $35. That included shipping, and a tip for my buddy who ordered them with his credit-card.

They offer strengths from -20 to +12 plus cylinder from -6 to +6. Unfortunately, this is only in 1.57 index, so mine are rather thick, but there's not much colour-splitting.

There are a lot of pll that are pretty much clueless, when it comes to both the blind, and the visually impaired. And this is sad. Do a little research. tlak to someone that is blind. I am almost 100% blind now myself. Glasses will no longer help me. My vision is Not 100% stable and could be gone at any time. I personally like the glasses! $600 is a small $ to pay to be able to see even a little. The sticker shock is what hurts. Excellent vid...Again, it shows what a great guy you truly are. :)

I can totally relate -I have extreme photosensitivity also. A long time ago as a kid I tried transitions but they didn't get dark enough to be beneficial to me. By the way, nice new glasses!

You say you are photo sensitive!, My pupils do no open or close so on sunny days I have to wear sun glass or get a headache, was just wondering if yours was due to the pupils?. How are the black and white cells at the back of your eyes, the surgeon told me I have less black cells than other people, even after 30 odd years I still have never read up about what these cells actualy do, crazy eh! maybe I don't want to know deep down but I shood read up on it. Hey, were you blind before?? I was too... I was borned blind.. Something covers my eyes and my parents sent me for an operation to take away the things that covers my eyes. It was a succesfull one but, i need a glasses more or less like yours to see... And now, I am schooling in 1 of the special education school for the blind in my country.... I was born blind and cryo surgery corrected it. The operationwas experimental and by the time my left eye was found to be successful, the right eye's retina had already detached.

Actually, the light's too bright for me. I usually get a small headache after exams. I honestly think that people have different strengths in seeing when it comes to shapes, colors, and contrast. I have 20/10 vision, but when it comes to colors or contrast, I'm worse than others.

This is the most powerful prescription you could get. This is without the bifocals. With the bifocals, it would be even thicker.

I have the same problem as you, my pupil does not open or close so if I am driving in bright sunlight and enter a black tunnel I have to lift my sun glasses up and then back on once out the other side. what helps me is to where a base ball cap the ones with the extended front, try them they are very good. I also know about the bright light in your eye, they can see the cells at the back of your eye.

Nice glases, I had transitions but the never stay clear after a while the had a yellowish tint so I now have clear lenses but I use sunglasses that will fit over my regular glasses you can see them in my video What wrong with my right eye. Is that $ 600.00 for each lens? that would come out to $1,200.00 or a litle more for those glasses. There is also the cost of the frame itself.
