@dilwich123 I suggest you go and stand on a platform at any main line station. Trains that are not stopping will go through the platforms at line speed and that can mean anything up to 125mph in Britain. I recently went to Penzance from London and we went through lots of stations at well over 100mph.

@FSXguy012 How do you know that the driver had not already put the break in. I would estimate that the weight of the train was approx 500 tonnes and it was travelling at linespeed (probably 90MPH). Considering that those crossing the track was not wearing high visibility clothing, the driver would had three seconds to react. From the moment the driver would have applied the emergency brake, the train would have stopped at least half as a mile down the line.
Who are you to judge that the train driver is exceeding the speed limit? Do you care to even know that he may have undergone upto 20 years of hauling goods trains before being considered to take on this rake? Do you have documentary evidence that points to the speed limit for this train on this section of track? Do you have proof that the driver was exceeding this speed? In the UK it's illegal to walk along the railway or cross the lines except at designated crossings. Try stopping a train in a short time like you can with a car.. However fast that was, 60mph?.. Try stopping that in however many ft it would take a car. When that day comes, then we can blame the driver. Until then, don't be a twat and pass the buck.

Yeah it was going pretty fast but you should be fine as long as you stand far enough away. I was a station and Amtrak's Acela blew thru at 100+ mph. My mom got so scared though ha ha.

No. Evidence would suggest [the shiny rails] that the driver just might be planning to use them. Were the pedestrians using the overpass provided so thoughtfully by the builders of the passenger waiting areas? Hmm.... Go figure! In the UK it's illegal to walk along the railway or cross the lines except at designated crossings. Still despite that you get idiots jumping over barriers, crossing the tracks from one platform to another, or walking along the tracks late at night thinking that the last train has gone...I know 'cos I've missed a few with inches to spare myself.

Depends where actually. I seen this video before, forgot the exact location, somewhere in India I think. In areas like India and such, trains and people don't exactly get along. They let passengers ride on top of the cars, on the side of them, etc, and still travel at full speed. Yes, there are plenty of fatality's, but that's their rules.

The driver is in the right for sounding his horn as a warning but stupid people in India will cross the line where ever they want to. The same in Pakistan people on trains think nothing of pulling the communications chord if the train does not stop at there station. Still there is billions of them so if the trains kill a few it won't make any difference.
