@Juliaflo - Mr. McGruder was played by Sheldon Leonard. He went on to become the producer and director of such shows as "The Dick Van Dyke Show", "The Andy Griffith Show", "The Danny Thomas Show", and "I Spy", the producer of "Gomer Pyle, USMC", and the director of "My Favorite Martian."
