Sing on Brothers and Sisters! It sounds beautiful! Remember that no matter what we do, if we do it whole heartedly and with the right attitude of praise and worship, God's name will be glorified no matter what anyone else says! Praise on! Viia le Atua!
hymns have not always been considered holy, if you read church history, music was deemed inappropriate to be added to christian words of praise and worship.
however you can continue on your path of judgement that all songs sung in the church are just not Holy enough for your super spirit then i leave you to it.
just bare in mind that only God can judge and you my friend have gone too far.
What is reverence URALLKUNTS? Give me an example of reverent music or a reverent Church for that matter. Is the church as described in the New Testament the same as Today's church? I Don't think so.
Whether you're a Christian or not, I strongly believe you don't know what reverence is or means. Its not about music, nor sexuality its an innate act of love and faith towards a holy and majestic God which is done through a clean and NON JUDGEMENTAL heart...that's REVERENCE...You should try it!
God is perfect and His ways never change, and the Bible is clear on God's stance on homosexuality. There will always be a minority group of the Christian faith who will defer from the principles and commandments of the Bible. It's a fact that is evident throughout history.
Mankind has not been changing the mould or shape of the Church, God has. God went from altar sacrifices to a Living Sacrifice (Christ). God can do whatever He likes.
How can u fully understand the true meaning of being REVERANT unless u have Christ living inside u & lable urself as a christian? doctrins and teachings of the Lords word have always been plucked at and changed accordingly to suit the needs of either science or someother form of religeon i.e homosexualuality, but if you read the word of God, and ask God to give you the understanding and the true meaning of his word, religeon, science and so on will not affect your faith in God.
It is perfectly normal for the world and people to change, however God is God, he has never changed, i undrstand that worship and delivery of the lords word has changed. in the states you have the more upbeat christian churches who freely dance and shout praises during a sermon, its not about how the delivery came, its wether the Lord spoke to you. if u feel that it does not suit u then u move on to another church where you feel most comfotable and you can freely worship God. God Bless
It is great to debate about what is appropriate and inappropriate to be sung in the house of the Lord...but can you please explain your CHOSEN USERNAME?
UR_ALL_KUNTS??
now i understand that this is just a username but..a swear word ..i sure know that you wouldnt use this name in the house of the Lord would you?
Or does this come under being reverent in the house of the Lord...and then malformed once your out the door?
Yes it would be, as you would say, reverent. Problem here with your view is that you look at the song as mere words and melodies, instead of looking or feeling what the artist behind the song is trying to convey through their music/lyrics.
You say hymns are to be reverent...So why were they sung in pubs by Wilburforce and Pitt???...Songs no matter what the genre can be used for God's praise, or against it...
Hip Hop Heavy Metal Reggae RnB all have worldly connotations to them, so if they, meaning their words and melodies can be used for God's glory, then so be it...I wonder how many samoan fiafia tunes have been conveyed into samoan worship songsfar too many to count. Well ULLUKRUNTSeach to their ownthe only thing I pray is that you dont see God as plainly as black and white, he is far more creative and unique. God Bless
URALLKUNTS ...your comment is completely irrelevant considering it is a performance done on white sunday to thank GOD for the day that he has given to us to celebrate loku tamaiti...
p.s God is a God of yesterday, today and tomorrow... so URALLKUNTS...a song being sung in the house of the lord is Gods choice to bless, not yours.
It's good to see this sort of dedication from our youth. Keep up the good work guys. The vocals and general harmony are particularly weak in this piece, 'ae manaia tele le agaga a le tou pese. I'm lovin' it! Keep'n it real in the, "Dirty, Dirty!"

you have no sense because they are only using the MELODY of the song, but the words are actually PRAISING/Worshiping god
