  • omg HOW MANY FUCKIN' TIMES CAN YOU SAY THE WORD TANG IN A COMMERCIAL!?!?!?

  • Some more John Seeely music, from Emil Cadkin, Jack Cookerly and William Loose.Warner Bros. sure didn't restrict that use to their fsall 1958 shorts or even animation..

  • Perhaps Daffy's greatest victory. Thanks for the video.

  • ...I am now consumed with the overpowering desire to drink Tang again.

  • Bugs, should learn, NEVER give Daffy a gun, he knows how to use it....properly.

  • "TANG?!?!?!?! Goodbye, auntie!"

    Awesome.

  • Well... Even if it's a commercial they have limited time they could have added 3 more seconds to it. This clip has many comedy timing errors (too quick).

  • Wow, I didn't realize Tang was that old!

  • man, i havent had tang since i was like 3. havent seen it either

  • tangarific?

  • It's nice to see Daffy get the upper hand on Bugs for once...and not have it backfire on him either!

  • @celestialmoongoddess But you' ll notice that Bugs doesn't give a darn for being tied up at the end. He was probably already thinking of a way to get loose! lol.

  • @celestialmoongoddess I agree! I kind of feel sorry for Daffy when he's against Bugs even though he's probably the bad guy!

  • Finally---Daffy triumphs over Bugs!

  • Opening scenes are by Virgil Ross. Bob Matz probably did Bugs walking over to the refrigerator. Matz' work can often be confused with that of Chiniquy due to their similar working styles. Ken Harris might have done Bugs trying to put Daffy off his game.

  • Did Ken Harris ever work under Freleng though? I always associated him with Chuck Jones (and briefly under Frank Tashlin).

  • Ken's first break as an animator was the wooden shoe dance in 1935's "Little Dutch Plate" for Freleng. As you mentioned, he was assigned to Tashlin's unit which became the Jones unit upon Tashlin's departure.

  • you missed ll >:-_

  • THANK you Friz Freleng for Daffy's ENDING!!!!!! (grin)

  • Awesome. It's odd to see Bugs get his though.

  • The first time I'm seeing this, but this is a great commercial. I heard the Looney Tunes characters were used for Kentucky Fried Chicken commercials in the 60's as well.

  • "i love instant tang"

as do i daffy, as do i

  • This Tang commercial {originally seen on "THE BUGS BUNNY SHOW" over ABC in 1961} was shown in black & white, and NEVER seen in color.

  • i remember this ad when it first came out...hey, if Bugs and Daffy were into Tang, then dammit, i wanted some!!...i can remember making Tang as a kid; i would use about 6-7 tablespoons of the stuff, and there would be this surreal orange sludge at the bottom of the glass!!

  • funny!

  • Friz Freleng in top form!

  • tang gang? these commercials were some of the only times he was made into a monochrome something

  • Daffy's only payback!

  • @likestallwomen

Actually, Daffy had a couple on Bugs in Apes Of Wrath & Ali Baba Bunny

  • i thought bugs was about to get shot for a second

  • Daffy got Bugs! That's a first!!

  • When i saw this commercial, and seen it said "shoot a duck" i thought Daffy would've been among the gallery at the start of the commercial but it turned out not to be that way but he did get in on the act.
