AHH wtf is every one on abt. ive got a 1982 bmw 535i and i spent 10000 dollars only on the moter nothing els i hit 170+- Mph with it on standard suspention brakes ect for those of u numbnuts out there that dont own bmw's take note that the e34 5 series took the award in its time for safest saloon cus from 100mph and 155mph it had the smallest stopping distance and was 100% stable under braking and speed. BMW has always been a hi performance car

they are fun fast and sound incredble. myne is the shark nose e12 535i but both urs and mine has the m30b35 moter abt 170+-kw standard but im pushing near 350kw got the twin turbo kit off a new 135i but with slightly bigger turbos. standard form just by chipping and bumping up the rev limiter to 8000rpm gives u abt 212kw moter is safe for 8500+ but not recomended 9500+- u brake conrods

@phatty5bmw Well while you may be on the right track, you made two incorrect statements. Not ANY performance chip removes the speed limiter. As you can see here MY speed limiter is still in tact, but my red line was moved 1000 rpms higher. Chipping was done by Active Autowerkz here in Miami. And it is not pegged at 160, its pegged at 155 electronically limited.

if you remove your standard ecu chip and replace it with a modded chip, it removes your top speed limiter witch should let you do as fast as you want depending how much hp you have.. your speed gauge pinned out at 160 but your rpm was sitting on 5000rpm for about 25 seconds.... why do ppl have to lie on youtube for , faaarrrk

@ej20shita before you start talking, please make sure you know what you are talking about. BMW speedometers are designed to "overcompensate" speed readings after about 40mph for legal reasons. At 162mph (speedometer speed) you are actually going 155mph (gps aka real speed)
