Are you on crack? Competition isn't reserved for just sports. You must be a meathead. This is one of the most prestigious competitions in the world. The last competition you probably competed in was a fart contest with your buddes. Hey, it's competition, right?

Of course there should be competitions. It's the spirit of progress, hard work and achievement. Why should world-class pianists be put on the same pedestal as mediocre musicians? That would be a shame
