They have a go at it at normal speed, when the pilot and the co-pilot make the pace notes (which are called in french by Daniel Elena in this video).

In the 80s, though, this rally in special, Wales Rally GB, used to be a "secret rally", that is, the notes were provided by the organizers and only read by the co-pilots when competing for real, which made it even more challenging.

Those guys aren't kidding there, they're awesomely skilled and that's why I enjoy watching it!!

A Clear demonstration that shows why he is the world champion. Incredible stage, probably the best one I've seen from Loeb, and I've seen all that WRC uploads and more. Neat lines, braking on the perfect point, and what's more important, they clearly go full throttle much more than the rest.

How can I do a request? we could ask for Hirvonen's video on the same stage.

I really would like to see the video of Hirvonnen tackling this same stage, just to compare their styles. I mean, the time Loeb did on that stage is simply out of this world. He crushed everybody else's time by more than 10s. Amazing, even for Loeb's standards.

Amazing driving, yes going sideways or making scandinavian flicks are lost of time, the ´modern´ (and faster) style driving consist in just breaking the necesary in the corners, turning, and full throtle again. Look at the drawing in their helmets!!!!

Just look at that precision... It almost like something straight out of some military special unit. Loeb does not over attack and drives on very neat lines.

Very interesting to watch and compare to Mikko's totally different driving style.

i agree with you.but i ll keep my doubts to driving style and times.i have this different -same opinion with you.on fast gravel stages(australia,finland,new zealand)the sideways pay off either ways (good time or crash)ok.(we saw that in finland i don t think it was the tyre that loeb lost,the same way i don t think it was the trunk on gb 4 mikko)but when we go to tight corners on grravel there i may agree to the grip levels you mention.

i don t like his driving style it is not aggresive is poor he is i have to admit more concentrate and steady than mikko and more attached with the car,but except those i see nothing interesting he turns after he see the corner and take no risk no sideways no show.for me colin left mikko.loeb is the generation of schumacher.private opinion sorry if someone does n t agree i don t want to argue!

that this is all about the grip, and loeb is the best,

just look at his times, it may not be as awesome

as colling driving, but i think thats becouse cars

now have more tecnology, so sideways is not the

faster driving today, but hey! i like colling and loeb
