I’m thinking what things has his team of lawyers + accountants found a way to exploit? The carcasses are littered all over the sides of the road from you’re exploits. I’m thinking that we’re dealing with one of the slyest & oiliest dudes around. This guy should set up a college level course on unethical business practices. Sadly, all cheaters & swindlers get ensnared by some higher power, agency, bureau, or service.
I think what separates people like Jenkins and 3eb from massive popularity and mainstream is when he mentions lyric writting; 3eb is notorious for outstanding, deep, and beautiful lyrics, and it's unfortunate that credit is not given to the impressiveness of what's put into their songs. Their music is extremely powerful, yet completely unrecognized.
How anyone could call this guy a "douchebag" or whatever is beyond me. It's pretty obvious to me that in some non-serious interviews, he just messes around for shock factor.
He's obviously an extremely intelligent individual, who can be goofy, and who I support through all the band's changes. His lyrics have inspired me throughout my youth, and I'm just utterly grateful that he has given so much amazing material.
@courtneyecho really not trying to be rude, but i think they prob know who they are. its Third Eye Blind, they were the soundtrack to a lot of ppl's youth, like myself. these guys got me from elementry all the way through high school, and now through college. they are huge, so while your friends might "not be worthy" i'd have a hard time beleiving that they don't know who 3eb are. once again, REALLY not trying to be rude.
@courtneyecho everybody should know about this amazing band. maybe if more people knew, real music culture would come back and we could kick pop and rap out of the loop.
brilliant song writer. They can be considered pop music, but they get pegged as that. Just another 90's pop alt band, but there is so much depth in their music. Out of the the vein is one of the best albums no one has heard. I like what he says at the end. I feel the same way.

damn. the exact way he decribed how most people find out about third eye blind is how i did. it turned out that as i grew older, the music grew from being something nostalgic and likable into my favorite shit!
So true. I remember singing "Semi charmed life" not knowing at all what I was saying. Now that I am 20 years old, it means so much more than it did before. Just saw them a few nights ago... Absolutely amazing
Stephan Jenkins is amazing! And yes I was one of those people that was 10 years old when their hit CD was released, and through the influence of other friends that let me hear a song here and there, I fell in love with it at about age 18. I've been an addict for all 3EB music ever since. I own every CD and love it! The attention to detail on the lyrics really shows as well. The lyrics are probably what grab me the most. I'm looking forward to more albums to come!
Die hard fan myself, I don't think the valedictorian of his class at University of California, Berkeley (in English Literature) is going to let you "right" any music for them...
I would like to right some music for them.. Some of their songs are good lyrically and some not so much. But the over all their songs are catchy. I'm an die hard fan of these guys liked them way back still like um.
haha dude the way he described people getting into their music is so spot on for me. I listened to them when I was in like 5th grade and thought they were catchy but i didn't really understand them as a band cause i didn't care that much. but then when I got into like 8th grade freshman year, i found 3eb (self titled) at a used cd store and bought it and realized that everything on there was golden. ever since then i've been hooked. great band. fucking awesome.
hands down an absolutely amazing band. i love ursa major. 3eb came to down town state college and i got to see them.. smallest venue they've played at and i was completely blown away. can't wait for Ursa Minor to come out!!
Yeah it took me a few listens and before I knew it don't believe a word was stuck in my head. I like it. I like the new album, none of there albums completely suck. I could put in any of tehre cds and listen to it from start to finish only difference is that I would sing along to more songs on some cds then others.
I'm a third eye blind fanatic, they are without a doubt my favorite band. As far as the previous albums go, I definitely connect and love every single song, on their new album, Ursa Major, I connected as well but not with every single one like usual, which isn't a bad thing but it was a little disapointing. As far as genres go, screw labels. Third Eye Blind is their own sound in itself, no way to describe it. I love Stephan Jenkins so much <3 & on a side note, older is wiser, so shut up.
He's right and wrong. I was a young kid when my brother and sister pulled their money together to buy Blue. I love this band. I loved every album they made. The Red Star EP got me so pumped for the new album. Then I heard "Don't Believe A Word" and it all went downhill from there.
I think "Non-Dairy Creamer" was a lot more dissapointing than "Don't Believe A Word." "Creamer" has the most rediculous lyrics ever, and I say that as a person who loved 3eb and songs like "Motorcycle Driveby." Their new album is decent, at least...
wtf is wrong wiht dont beleive a word? listen to the sogn a few more times, he writes and and makes music exactly like when 3eb were in the 90's. they still sound fresh. and listen to bonfire from the new album and listen to alright caroline, its gonna be on ursa minor but it was an olddd song. stop hatin keep love
noooo way dont sell your selves short as some shit indie band if you guys are indie then ya'll what was good about indie before all these shit bands screwed it up. definitly not pop but better then indie crap. whatever call yourselves what ever you like i'll still love you guys
