@MachuPicchuTours I agree with you. This movie made Hector seem like an abusive husband, negligent father, and drug addict. I was hoping to see more of the good times that he lived. I'm only 28 years, so I never got to see a Hector Lavoe performance (he died when I was 11) I did get to see Fania All Stars in 2003 though :p. Therefore my only memories of him are through the countless DVD's I have of concert footage. When I saw the movie, I was in complete shock. A Jim Morrison type of movie.

My aunt lives in the states but owns a condo in Luquillo Puerto Rico and I just love to go down every year. She is there now with my uncle for the annual Salsa Convention.
