  • @jogabola

Thanks. Please help spread the word about my stuff.

  • DO you have any tips on how to be sure where the centre of GB is? I Miss balls because I aim off centre, I dont think there is anythign wrong with my stroke.

  • @leoandsan

See "aiming - ghost-ball" in the FAQ section of my website (the link is in the video description). I have some additional info and resources there.

    Good luck with your game,

    Dr. Dave

  • TY very much

  • You're welcome very much!

    Dr. Dave

  • cant find the video but masse shots are important on th right chalk and cloth and clean ball all shots go where they are aimed good tips

  • I have links to several masse shot videos in the FAQ section of my website (billiards . colostate . edu) under "masse shot."

  • Clarification:

0:25 - "...you can back your stick up and place it about a ball away from your object ball - that's where the center of the imaginary ghost ball would be..."

You mean, "...place it about a HALF-BALL away from your object ball..."

Kinda surprised no one else has pointed that out.

In any case, that's a great method for teaching beginners

  • Good point. Some people might misinterpret this. The tip needs to be at the resting point of the ghost ball. The resting point of the ghost ball is one ball away from the resting point of the object ball.

    Thanks,

    Dr. Dave

  • very simple yet accurate method. I sometimes had trouble visualizing the correct aiming point via the ghost ball. This has helped tremendously. Thank you

  • I can't agree more. I was doin pretty bad on easy shots as this one before.

  • You're welcome.

  • Great, concise and practical for us beginners! Thanks.

  • Thank you, and you're welcome.

    Dr. Dave

  • nice.. it really helps for hittin the ball!!

  • Thanks for this lesson Dr Dave. It will come in handy. I'm beginning to develop a new way of visualizing the contact point between the cue and object ball thanks to your video and other youtuber's videos.

  • You're welcome.

    I aim to squerve,

    Dr. Dave

  • just chalk up your cue very good, act like youre looking for the point where to hit the objectball and make small dot on the sheet. And youll always pot your ball :D

  • I'll give this guy the 7 and the break !

  • If I saw somebody using this technique, and they were stupid enough to gamble, I would offer them more than that.

This method is meant for beginners who have a difficult time visualizing where to aim.

    Regards,

    Dr. Dave

  • Would this be frowned upon if i tried it at a bar a few times in one game?

  • There's no reason why you can't ... it's perfectly legal.

  • all that glitters isnt gold :P..they will start seeing the billiard lessons :_)

  • Dr. Dave good to see U on youtube!

    your friend

    Bluey2King

  • Thanks for the welcome.

YouTube users seem more interested in the high-speed-video stuff I posted than the billiards stuff.
