I thought the porsche panamera was ugly until I saw a black one parked on the street (a panamera turbo to be specific) and it looks quite stunning to be honest. And that mini cooper coupe has weird proportion (though I do love the regular cooper which I currently own and it is a blast to drive). The Volt is simply a joke in my opinion. How is that better than a hybrid?

Also, the captions are based on the original script and may not match 100% (same basic info). The fubar'd characters are our fault... not stripping out the smart apostrophes before uploading.

I have to disagree with 80% of the worst list.

I like cars to have character, stand out from the crowd and be quirky like my Subaru.

Especially if they are well engineered (ie Porsche Panamera, Mini Cooper Coupe, Honda Accord Crosstour, and Spyker).

The Volt is no surprise. It's already the laughing stock of automotive development. GM has been talking about building it for 5+ years.

It better be the best car ever made when it finally hits the streets, or it will be an utter FAIL.

though you cant buy the volt, even the idea of the volt shouldn't have put it in the worst car there. the Leaf, mini-ev and tesla, all are cars to look forward to but none of them are like the volt. they all depend on the life of their batteries unlike the volt which does have a gas engine to recharge its batteries. so the volt can go on while the other simply cannot. just hope it does FINALLY come out haha, the 40k price tag is probably #1 reason not to buy it

There are other cars that do this already. It's called a "serial hybrid". One such vehicle gets 200+ miles per gallon.

If a big company like GM can't get it out while a small company that is funded by private investments CAN...GM should be criticized.

now the worst list... seriously? panamera is a great car, not exactly what porsche owners look for but you cannot deny the performance of the car. its porsches first try at a family tourer and it destroys other cars in its categories.

imo-the mini coupe concept looks great. a refreshed face with a somewhat redesigned rear. great looking car.

it beat the cts-v at the nurburgring

and is currently the fastest production sedan to do so

people normally don't support companies doing the norm (gm, chrysler)

and again in my opinion i think the ford fiesta deserves the #3 spot and replace the mustang to # 5. Though the mustang is truly impressive with its 80+hp gain and 7krpm redline,the fiesta just bring more life into ford and into people. The interior of the fiesta is fresh, new and not boring like every other american car. plus i have a feeling the 300+hp mustang wont have impressive numbers to back it up. also who really cares about mpg in a mustang. its like worrying about hp in a prius

I usually like watching this channel but after watching your top 5 best and worst cars at the LA auto show im disappointed.

your top 5? wow your telling me last years V10 R8 reintroduced as a hardtop beat the Lexus LF-A? is that a joke? the LF-A is a brand new, track proven beast, which produces more power, quicker, (in my opinion) more eye pleasing then the R8. That was just a bad decision.

the LF-A is a new car that is still unknown at many levels, and the looks are polarizing (not to mention it's $400,000). The R8 is beautiful, relatively affordable and the new model refines that even further, which I would argue is actually quite a challenge to get right.

It is currently the fastest "production car" around the Nürburgring.

Current test results prove the LF-A to be faster than the Viper ACR, Z06, Enzo Ferrari, GT-R just to name a few. And if you look at the ACR, that's practically a road legal race car. Thing is, the Lexus LF-A will still have creature comforts. That's why it's $500k for one.

Yes, we had an editor at the show. And yes, it's very possible for one car maker to have both a really nice design and a really heinous one. Such was the case with the MINI. The Spyker, well, if that's your thing I can't tell you otherwise. We, however, find it embarrassingly fussy.
