Evidently, the majority of Bethel Live is Caucasian, while there are other people of color. This might be due to the demographics where Bethel is at - Redding, CA. Also, I think there is ONE non-Caucasian worship leader: Williams Matthews. As a Christian Asian American, I kinda wish they had more diversity, but that's no one's fault.

I don't believe the band is trying to take the place of God, nor trying to get those worshiping in the congregation to speak in His place; I believe they are sharing what God has spoken to them, and what God speaks to His people. But if it still bothers you, you can easily change the lyrics. :) "He is the Lord your God, He goes before you now...come to Him, He's all you need. Come to Him, He's everything."

I understand your concern, but prophets from the bible spoke in the first person on God's behalf often, not to take his place, but to prophecy. When I sing along with this song, I sing to my own soul, reminding it of God's goodness. Similarly, David told his own soul to Rise up.

I ordered this CD/DVD after seeing the trailer. It is a beautiful CD but sense some sensuality in the video. Is this my imagination? I couldn't shake it.
