because in the water the shark would still be moving around. technically, sharks have to keep moving otherwise they will sink. it's true. anyway, i think they need to be right next to the shark and for teh shark to be still, like in the video, to be able to tag it properly.

Honestly.....Sharks belong in the ocean like other sea animals, HUMANS have no right to de-finn,hunt, abuse these poor animals, If someone gets attacked that is their damn fault the ocean is their home, If this tagging thing is to help protect them against sick assholes then i guess i support it but honestly its sad to know the shark population (Like other sea life population) is going down. That's just sad!

Not stress it. The Shark population has come down dramatically over the last 50 years or so.

Over 90% of the Shark population has been wiped out and the remaining few are being "tagged" to keep out of danger.

NG and other organizations simply keep track of them. If they get in public/fishing zones, they simply try and guide those Sharks back into "safe" zones by using lures, etc.

This is for their own good.
