@cmarshall118 hey mate, basically it's actually pretty simple. All you need is a front mounted intercooler, turn the turbo up to about 21-22psi (obviously you need to fit a boost gauge too), then get it remapped. The intercooler is pretty much just a custom job, you'll need to make it all up yourself. For the remap I went to Mr Whippy in Leeds. As for exhaust, decat and de-backbox, with standard mid section. It's not too loud as you can hear in video. I got about 45-50mpg mixed driving.
@cmarshall118 You could probably push for 24psi, but in all honesty it doesn't need it. The HDi uses the K03 or GT15, which only came in a few really late 1.9DT's. As it's a smaller turbo you don't want to push it too much, the DT could take a bit more with the bigger turbo's.
As for the intercooler, if it fits, it will be fine. I just used a new universal cooler and it was perfect. And I'd never really tried it against many cars. It would beat a VTR though, but I don't know about a VTS...
im coming from having a zetec s with some nice mods that keeps up with the vts,thats why im asking, just cant afford the fuel with my new job which sucks, ive had a 1.9 DTurbo before just hated how loud they were so im after the hdi as its more modern.
ill just get 1, do the mods n see how it performs up against 1 lol if it dont ill just have to see what else i can do it lol
@cmarshall118 No problem mate. You could potentially get it up to nearly 200bhp but you're into quite expensive mods then. You'd need a hybrid turbo, uprated injectors (though im not sure exactly which ones), a bmw 330d fuel pump, and a different fuel pressure sensor. You then need to get it all mapped again to get it to actually start with those mods. Dunno if I can advertise here but I'm a member on pug306.net. @daveb87 my plan was to join a pug club, im a member of zsoz (zetec s owners club) so defo aware of the benfits of being in a club lol just wanted to actually get the car first.
i wouldnt go past these mods, id rather get a gti-6 next year, its just i have points so high insurance and work quite far aware on apprentiship wage so need the mpg this year :/
just want it to atleast match my car at the moment lol which ill et it to :P

@cmarshall118 That's in 3rd mate, 2nd wouldn't even get you 60. Unfortunately I don't have a video of that mate, and I don't have the car anymore to make one lol, I sold it in April for a Leon Cupra TDI. Have a look at my other vids though, there's one of me driving the 306 from a standstill but you can't see the dials. If nothing else the turbo sounds awesome ;)

and whats the mpg like with all that power?

mate of mine has a transit front mount on his 1.9, im guessin that is a good 1 for the hdi too?
whats it like up against the hot hatches around, like the vtr n vts?

just tried this 30-70 in my zs in third gear, not as quick as that lol u in 2nd or 3rd?
and u got any 20-100mph vids? starting in 2nd gear. if not.. make 1 lol
if thats 3rd gear, ill be a happy man when i get 1 lol
