  • These guys were the Kings of live concerts, they kicked ass, seen em twice (Im an old fart,LOL) I wish the young kids of today could see how great the bands of the 60s and 70s were, real kick ass rock n roll. The shit out today is pathetic. Great Rock is out there, you guys just gotta go back and find it.

  • Excellent, I am in awe.

  • DEEP PURPLE É DEMAIS, MUITO BOM

  • Beginning sounds almost like the version of Still I'm Sad that Rainbow did on the first album. :)

  • I saw MKII & MKIV, and Nobody rocked in a concert like these SOB's! Ive seen Zeppelin, Stones, been to 100 concerts at least. But DP just knocked the living shit out of all of them. You knew when you saw DP in concert, it was gona be awesome.

  • Incredible Ian Paice, monster!!!!fantastic!!!!

  • Huge Purple fan but never heard this one. Sounds a bit like 'Bad Reputation' by Thin Lizzy

  • Ian Paice = God

  • This was a really really good band people, it's obvious..On the top with few others.

  • ***** stars.

  • One of the BEST demonstrations of Richie Blackmore.... what a guy!!!!!!!

    Guitar Excelence

  • And I thought it was impossible enough to play the drumbeat with studio version tempo. This one is MUCH faster, just insane.

  • @ZolleriuxX I practiced this beat and i can play it in this speed or faster :D

  • @shotguy1 And how many million selling albums have you drummed on?

  • Richie Blackmore hit the roof!!!!!!!!!

  • Kinda ironic with the Rainbow in the background..

  • love it ,classic purple

  • Cooking!

  • This was the first live telecast rock concert ever;...I was 13 years old and listened on a television which had a tiny 3 inch speaker and I was still totally blown out of my mind by their sound and playing ability. Black Sabbath preceded Purple and was also impressive.Purples' performance is available on CD but It seems to me the drums are a little weak in the mix.Ian Paice is the most under-rated drummer of all the rock drummers. His solo on the live album" Made in Japan" is one greates ever

  • where is the "i love it" button? :D

  • Simply Classic!!

  • Incredible musicianship .... Glen's singing and playing bass just awesome , Paicey nothing less than brilliant and Blackmore, Lord and Coverdale just great ...

  • @ andresc228.. Dude you gotta stop sniffing glue.. Coverdale/Hughes screamed just as much as Gillan! If you were a Deep Purple fan I guess you would've known that... Do you research first man, then make your comments.. All that riff raff aside, this concert is Rock History... Absolutely brilliant!

  • awesome song

  • Blackmore's guitar playing is eclipsed only by Paicy's drumming. How do you like the way he mutes the crash cymbal. Reportedly during the recording of this song in the studio Paice got upset with the other members cause they were making too many mistakes and they kept having to start over and Paicy told them that they bloody well get it right the next time cause the drum part was very complicated and difficult to perform and he was going to walk off if they made him do it one more time.

  • Ian Paice is simply brilliant on this song. And deserves way more credit for his ability to play the drums. He keeps perfect "PACE" not to mention his timing is perfect and I love the way he plays the high hat and sounds like ? cow bell on this song.

  • @MrSmokeydog hes playing on a cowbell...

  • @MrSmokeydog He has a cow bell mounted on his bass drum. He good but he can’t make a hi hat sound like a cow bell..

  • @MrSmokeydog After John Bonham probably the best (World famous) rock drummer ever.

  • Bom demais, 74 ainda permanece vivo.

  • this is the best line-up I prefer Coverdale-Hughes better than Gillian...he only screams

  • is this from California Jam?

  • @whsonic Yes from 1974

  • @whsonic yes.

  • Jimi Hendrix couldn`t touch Ritchie Blackmore with a ten foot pole!

    Either could Eddie Van Halen.

Ritchie Blackmore used by all others to measure their own self worth.

As for bands The Who absolutely destroyed all others on stage.

    God bless England!

  • NO ONE, plays with the guitar like Richie does

  • @BurakFender What about Frank Zappa? Steve Hackett? Richard Thompson?

  • @zzzxxyy i was aware of these guys' existence when i wrote that comment. still, my opinion is the same. then again it's just my opinion...

  • @BurakFender Hey, no harm committed. I just think these guys are up there as well.

  • What a solo by Richie!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!

  • Not bad but I definitely liked DP the best when Gillan was on vocals.

  • Really powerful, heavy rock as it should be......

  • This is raw dynamite! These people are the living grand masters of rock. 5 x 5-star professionals. There's nothing like this to match today.

  • MRK1 was the best! Ritchie Blackmore also played in MRK1

Eddie Vanhalens Eruption was not this good. Ritchie Blackmore God plays guitar.

  • MRK1 was the best!

  • Fenomenal

  • Deep Purple Mark III is the real deal!!!!

  • Вот её DP всегда круто исполняли \m/

  • Ian paice on the drums, YES !!

  • @djdjany @djdjany ...oggi come oggi, però... NO!!

  • I wish Blackmore would play 'clean' like he does on the live albums - he does get a bit self - involved sometimes..

  • So funny to watch that vocal battle between Huges and Coverdale each time live:)

  • Huges pushes too much.

  • To bad that these days no one does concerts like this. It's just go out sing the song and run out no solos our having fun on stage, just busines ... Live On Purple

  • I love the voice of Glenn Hughes

  • @kuufagarcia14

I agree he does very nice harmonies... And can reach some high notes, but obviously Coverdale is the man...

  • 2:49 Guitar!!

  • Do caralho!!!!!! Bons tempos!!!!!

  • @AntoniMulti AO LADO DE BLACK SABBATH E LED ZEPPELIN ELES SÃO OS MELHORES!!! DEEP PURPLE FOREVER!!!

  • Ritchie is uptight bastard freak

  • There is a God...........

  • More then Amazing!!!!!!

  • Does anybody out there have footage of the"Live in Europe" Deep Purple show? The audio quality on that album was phenomenol!!

  • @jerlu69 I suggest You to pick up an album called "Live In Paris 1975" - "Made In Europe" was a short compilation from this record. "Live In Paris" presented last concert with Blackmore, from first to the last note, with mid-number speeches and with absolutely amazing sound. If You have gear enaugh good, I suggest You to buy it and start writing a testament. You will be exploded.

  • Funny one of the best Purple tunes came after the classic line-up...but geez...Coverdale was an amazinh vocalist and Hughes an amaing musician in his own right. An epic moment in hard rock history that was mostly gone unnoticed. Some of the best Purple came from this period in my opinion...LOVE IT!!!

  • Ritchie B at his very rocking best.

  • thats was truely an epic performance. Only true musicians can combine all those styles into one song ! dont see that these days eh ?

  • amazing! i love strat he used to play here.

  • hey you stupid Linda Clavell

    you little whore !

    you fool no one !!!

  • Undisputed professionals of rock - you have an overlapping melange of hard rock, blues, and classical music strung together in one track. You can also see how solo improvisations are expressed and yet snugly bound to the rest of the band's overall effort. Moreover, only true masters can get away with offhand drift of broken rhythmical tempoes without undermining the overall cohesion of the the whole team's music. A platinum masterpiece indeed!

  • Love the way this song starts off. Reminds me of what rock music is supposed to be about - a killer riff.

  • If there has ever been a better rock guitarist than Ritchie Blackmore then i have yet to see him Blackmore in his 70s prime was truly untouchable

  • he's very good, but the cat's ass he ain't

  • @dtmcinto

True, but who wants to be a cats ass ?

  • @lightintheblack

I have to agree with you on that.

By the way, I saw this concert. It was incredible.

  • man I always loved paices groove for that classic!.

  • wedge 173 ..you seem to have a thing about peoples mothers maybey you dont have one....?? mmmmmmmm

  • Doesnt matter if he wore a wig, high heels, and yer ma's bra,,,,still the best F'in guitarist ever!! And, thats why he could afford to be an arrogant prick.

    All hail the masters here,,,,

  • two great singers

    coverdale and hughes

  • the 70's is where it was at. ritche is a god and deep purple too

  • @Antonio12610

yeah but ritchie blackmore wears a wig now ???

not very rock n roll eh ??

  • well that doesnt change the fact that he inspired so many guitarists. but yeah. wigs arent very rock. haha

  • @Antonio12610 Yeah but if someone doesn't want to go bald I don't see what's wrong with it. Look at William Shatner.

  • I cant believe how u people worship Blackmore....HIS EGO DESTROYED PURPLE AND MADE GILLAN QUIT

  • yeah but his responsible for DP and Rainbow, AND most of the purple songs that we love so he's half forgiven :p

  • gillans back now??? and david is a suitable replacement? and ritchie is a god

  • @purplerocks666

agree blackmore was an igorant pig

  • @TheShark1962 I don't personally see how. He's not exactly ignorant, more like arrogant. I'm not saying I agree with his career decisions and how he dealt with Gillan and others, but the only thing that really seemed to become a problem was his ego. He seems to be a nice guy, but with a lot of problems. Hey, if your life was being publicized all day we'd probably see a lot of negative things too. I'm not saying he can't be an egotistical jerk, but I think people exaggerate it to a degree.

  • @purplerocks666 good that gillan quit :)

glenn hughes and coverdale came in, so it was for the best :)

and he quit from over-touring anyways..

  • "thats the one!"

  • Glenn Hughes what a voice. I think it's is the best combination with Coverdale. Stombringer, You fool no one, You keep on movin, The one you love, etc...

  • @demilho

    yeah best purple line up

  • I love his Strat he plays here... Really sad that it was stolen from his house back then.... I think this was the best sounding Strat he ever had...

I read that he himself thought that this was one of the best ones he had...

    GOD BLESS RITCHIE !!!

  • thi changeooooooooooo make me feel i dont have words to discribe this the fathers of rock withthe god-father ladys and gentleman ritchie blackmore aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaiam crzy for him deep purple for ever aaaaAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • HELLLLOOOOO?!?!?!?! Can you say "OH MY GOD, THIS KICKS ASS???????" Thank you Deep Purple.
