netherdrake is not consider a rare drake since u have a 100% of geting it if u have exalted rep with netherwing. But it is an rare since it takes 1-2 weeks to get this mount which makes it legendary!

5000 is for artisan riding which allows you to use epic flyers. Either way, you still have to pay 1k in dal to fly in northrend

I got the same mount at my 80 death knight, and if u havent done the prequests and have epic flying ( artisan )skills they will attack u, and its a week of farming of ur a miner ( as i was ) and as skinner ? i dont know about skinner, but u get new dailys after netrual - friendly - honored - revered and Exalted. dosnt take long time at all! if u want the mount, go farm the dailys for ... 5-7 days and u are exalted :) but its easier at 80 ! gl and its worth it ! imba gold from the dailys aswell !

You need to have a epic flying mount already o take the start quest outside Dragonmaw Fortress in SMV. After that you need to get excalted with Netherwing before you get the dragon. You have to take hundreds og daily quests before the dragon is yours.
