@snappy151 it is a virus. my husband is a computer technician and his sister downloaded it and it messed up her network. if your AV has not flagged it yet then you have a the most poor of all AV's. my husband recommends that you do this delete the software and download malwarebytes update it and put your computer is safe mode the start a full system scan with it..you will see what your AV missed..

@sasuke1018 The only product I use from McAfee is Site Advisor (which McAfee bought out). I have 1 PC running Microsoft Security Essentials, another AVG, but most of them run ESET Nod32. I occasionally test other AV products to do my own rough comparisons. Next, I will be trying BitDefefender and Vipre. But I always seem to come back to ESET Nod32. I primarily use paid products because I have seen the difference it makes on my customer's computers everyday. I say get ESET Nod32!

I decided to install the Spyware terminator because it seemed to be better at catching trojans than avast alone, the problem that I am now facing is the Spyware seeing the avast as a threat. plus, it prompts too much even in minimal settings. Avast let trojans in twice, even when auto updated.

@JATO457 Kaspersky is a great product. But anybody who knows me will tell you that I am totally sold on ESET Nod32. Kaspersky can be a tad user unfriendly and slightly more memory and resource intensive than Nod32, but is very good a detection. If your computer is relatively new (fast), Kaspersky should run very well for you. Just be sure to completely remove your existing antivirus first.

I use AVG Free on 2 of about 20 of my computers, I also use Microsoft Security Essentials, and play around with Avast, now and then. I have to so I can make comparisons. The majority of my computers run ESET Nod32 which costs me several hundred dollars a year for licenses. But yes, the Computer I made that Camtasia video on runs AVG. Another reason, is that I also have a lot of Tech programs that get picked-up as trojans by ESET Nod32 in a heartbeat, that AVG misses. AVG is not my AV of choice.

MyCleanPC is no different from PersonalAntivirus (PAV) , AvtiVirusGold (AVG), or other rouge software. This kind of Software should be illegal.
Do not download or install any software that claims to "speed up" your computer.

Another reason, is that I also have a lot of Tech programs that get picked-up as trojans by ESET Nod32 in a heartbeat, that AVG misses. AVG is not my AV of choice.

@Shawnyall133 It isn't rogue. Rogue means there's no stopping it. Get a damn good AV like Eset SS4 or Kaspersky. I recommend Eset SS4 for the built in firewall and UPNP enabler/disabler

i dont trust those tv ads. Nothing can make ya pc safe nothing, even the best anti viruses don't prevent the virus from coming into your pc it can only do and grab the virus,quarentine it and delete it. it can't keep it from coming in only keep it from touching XD I made a parody of this ad XD

@Madranter80 Actually most pay-for AV's have a live defense and a virus signature database that gets updated each hour of everyday. Most good AV's can detect "possible harm-ware" programs/files by detecting what it's allowed to do before you open it.

Yeah right, This jackhole is a shill for this scam company. He has an ezine article as well saying pretty much the same garbage. If this guy truly was an IT professional he'd be telling everyone to run as far away from CyberDefender as possible.

@raydeen2k It is obvious that you have never posted an eZine article before or you would know that they will not approve articles with negative comments. It took 5 submissions just to get what I have now approved. Any jackhole should be able to read between the lines and go to my website where you will see my "uncensored" professional opinion. Stop by my Computer Repair shop in Hawaii and you can see first hand what products I recommend, my doors are open M-F 9-5:30pm and Sat 10-5pm.

Oh god... I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU ACTUALLY DID THAT? MyCleanPC is a scam.. When I was using my Google Chrome, I had Word Of Trust on it, and visited this video and it was given a BAD review.. Don't even trust this stupid spyware cleaner.
