Weird ... I bought this album when it was new. Killer (this and "Mercy" especially).
Released a year before Randy Newman's "Good Old Boys". I wonder why Bonnie doesn't seem to be credited anywhere for popularizing this. Love Cocker but this Bonnie version is still #1 in my book.
I graduated high school in 1973, drinking, smoking alot of dope, and listening to this....i have not had a drink since Jan.1982. Saw bonnie maybe 5 times since then. my favorite is "Shadow of Doubt", but this is close...thanks is not strong enough..
Nice though I prefer her 72 live version. Grittier more buzzed version. LOL

I love this song. Only got to hear her sing it live a few times since she felt she couldn't sing it after Lowell George died.

@sueracer1951 no doubt Lowell's influence was large on Bonnie. She could've done alot worse. RIP Lowell..
