'fraid it is leather, with the skin taken off (napped) so it is suede on both sides. I've been using the same sort of thing all my life and it works perfectly. Not great if you're the beast :(

@asalater Thanks for your reply.I asked because yours looked like at chamois cloth for buffing a car after waxing and i new i had one lying around.I tried it last night and it worked great,actually i think it is some strange form of leather,it is like a thin yellow padded spungey cloth.Not sure i have spelt it correctly.Thank,s again

@asalater Do you mind me asking what are you using for a popping strap there,i tend not to use anything as i have never liked using a leather one.Yours does not look leather.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.That tune sounds amazing on your pipes and you make it look so easy and sound so soft and smooth amazing.
