  • Eva Morton and Cecilia Bartoli would have space in this video.

  • Good LORD that note Mado Robin sang made me pee my pants.

  • Sorry - but not all of this is Coloratura....

  • This is what I call a compilation!! Extremely good work, and how some have said, you should add the names of the arias, there are some of them I can't recognize

  • Can someone please tell me the names of the operas each of these are from? I especially want to know for the Natalie Dessay and Diana Damrau pieces.

  • With Robin, there was a full moon, and the werewolves all dropped dead at once!

  • OH MY GOD!

  • Where did the first clip of Dessay come from? If you could give me a link that would be really helpful :)

  • Ein wunderbares Video ------Danke vielmals coloraturafan----Wo ist Maria Callas geblieben?????

  • What's a pitty, i miss Deutekom!!

  • What aria is the last video

  • HI everybody , could someone link me the link of complete video of damrau tancredi (2 piece) please?

  • my GOD, the best one of the bunch was Roberta Peters, and that's because she's American trained and it shows !! Beautiful tone, unforced high notes (unlike her European counterparts who's high notes are harsh and ugly) and a perfect vibrato!

  • @kerryincolumbus .....America über alles !! Another moron commenting !!

  • @EutuveX ..... takes one to KNOW one... so THERE NAH! (sticking tongue at you).... see, I can stoop to your sorry Euro-trash low level too .. ASSHOLE

  • @kerryincolumbus American uber alles ... ! This asshole, as you say was born in Italy....Opera is part of the Western classical music tradition [2] and started in Italy at the end of the 16th century (with Jacopo Peri's lost Dafne, produced in Florence around 1597...

By 1597, your low level European ancestors were still busy killing the true Americans , BITCH !!

  • @EutuveX ...... I might be a bitch, and a BITCH will beat an ASSHOLE any day of the week, so go to HELL you piece of Italian born Euro-trash!

  • @kerryincolumbus .... Columbus ??? is that a Comanche user name ?

  • @EutuveX Nice one! I like your style.

  • @kerryincolumbus I have to admit, she does sound more like a flute than a tin whistle.

  • Damrau in Le Comte ory first, then Salieri 'Europa riconisura'

  • Le Comte ory

  • Thank God for women...!!!

  • What is damrau singing that has the G6?

  • What piece is Diana Damrau singing in the second aria in this clip?

  • I love how it's easy to ID rossini pieces because he ends every song with the same 3 notes.

  • YAY!! I love this- I am also a coloratura and love watching the "masters"

  • Plz someone tell me.. what is Mady Mesple singing?? :)

  • @coloraturafan Sorry to read about the rough time you're having. Your work with music has brought joy to many in their moments of sadness, and such selflessness is not deserving of personal tumult or the infliction of pain. I hope you continue to find comfort in the music. <3 from one Cinci opera lover to another :)

  • Great Video!! You should have a fan-page on Facebook!

  • A little coloratura arias always uplifts the soul. Tough times come and go, but music is forever!!

  • Hi colaraturfan, just a question : what is the first Dessay air? (Hamlet?) and from which concert is taken? thank you and good luck for your life......

  • What a gold mine. Think of those trills alone, not to mention the scales, then the high notes. What is the human voice possible of? What great, great fun. Thank you.

  • Thank you so much for these amazing snippets! I wish you well.

  • Thank you for this!!!

Amazed that it's possible to reach those high notes. :-)

And VERY happy that you included Roberta Peters.

  • Your "therapy" does wonders for me, too! I'm not really the artsy fartsy type, but for some reason I absolutely love those spectacular high notes. Love Mado Robin's stunning notes. Love Joan as a blonde. And, it was great seeing Roberta Peters. Used to think she was so pretty when she'd appear on TV ages ago. Thanks for all you do for us coloratura fans.

  • BTW, it will always be Sills for me!

  • 2:32 and 2:46 omg!!!!amazing!!!!its all here!!!!

    Damrau singing at 6:25

    Hallstein at 7:20

Sutherland at 7:50.. and at 10:20?

Thanks very much in advance :)

  • @Drelnis

    Damrau Europa riconosciuta

    hallstein no clue

    Sutherland Les Huguenots

    Sutherland The solider Tir

  • @fradnand I have a lot of late-Sutherland videos uploaded but of course the quality of the voice is in no match to her earlier recordings as presented here. I do recommend purchasing the Complete Bell Telephone Hour DVD if you can find it, it has great videos of Sutherland in color and in better voice than her color recordings in the 80s. Most of it is uploaded on my channel.

  • @JuanitaNadie I believe in a concert setting, for a big bit of fun, they decided to turn the bell song from Lakme into a diva-off :)

  • @TheWisemonkey8 Sills did a great studio recording of Gulio Cesare, the Da Tempeste and Non Disperar recorded there are in great quality. I have uploaded them but unfortunately due to copyright reasons these videos are blocked on my channel :P

  • @uniquebfly I believe Sumi's Carnaval is actually once sung live in France - i wonder if anybody, somewhere out there has footage of that performance :)

  • @coloraturafan... I love your work

  • Joan Sutherland su tutte!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! anch se l'ingiustizia verso alcune continua...

  • @coloraturafan Sorry about your troubles, but thank you for sharing your therapy. Hope it helped you as much as it pleased us (your viewers/listeners/commentors, not the over-grand version of "me").

  • @coloraturafan Hey CF. Just remember everything will always get better when you hang in there and realise that there are still people who care and love you. Remember: "It Gets Better." ;-) Anyway, this collection of clips way exceeds all other coloratura clips out there! Thanks for sharing with us! =)

  • @coloraturafan I'm really sorry to hear that. Hang in there! I really apreciate all your posts!

  • Does anybody know where can i find Sutherland's videos?

  • such fun! You're a treasure coloraturafan.

  • Wonderful~!. Had a brutal weekend, full of rain. This, like many if not all Coloraturafan contirbutions makes it all better~! When was Dessay's opening clip ? I'm always amazed how little she moves. Thank you again for your clips.

  • Beverly Hoch is wonderful :)

  • Este video me ha resultado muy interesante ya que muchas de estas maravillosas sopranos no las conocía. Yo sabía y conocía a : Anna Netrebko, Sumi Jo, Natalie Dessay, Diana Damrau, En fin mis favoritas. Asi que gracias ;D

  • Bravo to all

In my opinion in your all time top 10

Thank you for your super posts

  • Fabulous! Thank you very much.

  • W-O-W... ^-^

  • 13:22 What are ND and EV singing, please?

  • @JuanitaNadie it's Lakmè's bell duet :)

  • @MisSty2589 Thank you so much :)

I knew about the "flower duet", but not about this one. I thought it was an aria for one soprano.

  • This is a gay opera coloratura lover's paradise!

  • @adballet Rediculous comment

  • @coloraturafan Thank you, it has been removed.

  • Thank you very much for this exciting compilation!

  • Love them and love u.

  • Love them and love u.

  • I would be wonderful if you would upload Sills Handel Cleopatra 12:39 ... the current video on youtube is woefully chopped and messy. This was great fun! Seriously, I loved it! The dog jumped a bit though!

  • This is awesome. But for CRAZY COLORATURA in one aria, one woman, one crazy moment in time, check out Sumi Jo's "Carnival de Venise"

  • I'm sure you're going to get a bunch of "but you left out __________" comments but I'm not complaining in the slightest. Almost 15 minutes of some of the best coloratura singers in the world. What more could you ask for? Brava!

  • @choirfreak26 I agree... You can almost fell the passion CF has for the music though the video! Just great!
