Tmac is more athletic and has more length and thus can be a monster in the post(too bad he takes jumpshots even when he can get to the rim at will). Tmac relies on rythm to be succesful just pure jumpshooters.
Tmac is injured dude, a back injury just isn't the same, you saw how badly kobe played against the jazz when he tweaked his back. A Jazz team that will only try to take advantage of all of Mac's injuries? Tmac's career would be finished. If T-Mac was not injured all the time and had the work ethic of kobe, he would be better. McGrady has more natural talent then Kobe. This is coming from a Laker and Kobe fan.

T-mac is tha man tha only reason y kobe fairs better as far as stats go is because he's feenin to be great, Mac was like that back in his Orlando dayz but now he grown up his game is more mature now he trys harder to get his teamates involed alot more and takes less shots, but don't get it twisted he could fill it up just as much as kobe

dam, both of em are raw. i think tmac in his prime was a better offensive weapon, but just by a few notches. since age and injury have plagued him though, kobe is at the top of his game right now and is definitely better than kobe.

Differences between kobe and tmac: Kobe is hungrier(trains hard even in offseason). Kobe plays physical and is the fiercer competitor. Kobe has better basketball IQ(e.g. goes to FT line when not shooting well). Kobe is dedicated to defense. Kobe dosent rely on rythm he is more technical.
Tmac is more athletic and has more length and thus can be a monster in the post(too bad he takes jumpshots even when he can get to the rim at will). Tmac relies on rythm to be succesful just pure jumpshooters.

Tmac is injured dude, a back injury just isn't the same, you saw how badly kobe played against the jazz when he tweaked his back. A Jazz team that will only try to take advantage of all of Mac's injuries? Tmac's career would be finished. He also had knee and shoulder surgery right after dropping 40 in a losing effort to the Jazz so I don't get where you get all these ideas that kobe is head and shoulders above Tmac, b/c he sure as hell isnt

I disagree. T-Mac is a great defender,definitely less athletic than kobe(all his injuries)he couldnt get to the rim because of his shoulder, ankle, elbow ,back and knee injuries, and goin to the line doesnt neccesarily mean u have better b-ball I.Q. T-Mac gets the ball to his teammates better for sure(main reason the 22 game win streak happened everyone got touches) and T-mac does train hard in the offseason as well. T-Mac has a sporadic jumpshot but does get his team involved better than kobe

i like this vid as many of the other vids tht compare the two have kobe being better but in this its equal and honestly these two players are the most similiar height weight style of play. i think tmac is as good as kobe offensively and defensively tmac comes a bit short but tmac still my fave player and still a fuckin beast

I have it the opposite. T-Mac is not as good as kobe on offense(sporatic jumper, inability to get in the lane) but his defense is better than kobe's. T-Mac is more versatile on D and is one of the reasons why his team is the 2nd best defensive team in the league(surprising huh).

guys u cant just look at game plays and paper and say tht one is better then another, its basketball, a team sport. I bet they don't even care whos better, they just want to get their team to win a title. And until they play a real one on one, all ur answers are just opinion. I would go with t-mac but tht my opinion, and we should accept others to cause i/we could be wrong. natural talentwise,tmac is better,the most famous adidas/NIKE recruiter,i forgot name,who recruited MJ,KOBE,Tmac and LBJ even said that out of all of them tmac has the best raw talent!indeed,tmac seems so smooth and fits perfectly to the flow of the game(his passing is unbelievable for those of you who don't know).but he doesn't work as hard as the others like KB and MJ(that's also according to the recruiter)to get better,therefore not accomplishing much. so conclusion:kobe is better than tmac.
