What the fuck, that was good, sir. I know the notes to this song but my fingers hurt very much after attempting to play it at the same speed as the recording. The reason being that I'm mainly a guitarist that picks up the bass only once in a while. Bands like Jamiroquai and Chic have inspired me to focus more on the bass, amazing instrument.

The only reason I can guess David got some dislikes is because he didn't rip the "ORIGINAL" bassline of "Travelling without moving." Instead, he played the bastardized version that turner came up with with. Check out the "Long Marston" show in Phoenix to hear the original "Travelling without moving" bass line. DaveSin "gets down," period!! If you play anything from the first three albums, you have to do the jam justice and play it the way Zender intended or folks hit dislike!

Good job dude. I have this saved in my favorites. You could work on your finger speed which in turn will help you strike cleaner when playing such a fast and complex piece. The other thing is that the improvisations you do are a little to bluesy for me and don't quite fit with the jazz-funk style of this piece. Still, I wish I could play like you - keep it up.

And if you buy good electronics then you got a really nice bass. It's not a fender, but is probably like a good squier, I think. Search in youtube and ask someone who got one;)

Bit rubbery sounding, my experience is stock fenders only sound great for slap when the strings are 2-4 weeks old, any older and its gone, of course at that point it sounds like a fender which is still good.

@ungoliath69 It's from their Live from Abbey Road recording. It's on youtube. The slap part isn't terribly difficult, just make sure you get the muted slaps and hammer-ons timed right. Slow it down and practice makes perfect. ;)
