  • Is the HPSP a good idea? Is Family Medicine a competitive field?

  • WOW congrates

this video brought tears to my eye

i want to be a doctor as well (so far no luck getting in to medical school)

pray for me to be in this same position after few(ok 9)years !!!!

  • WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • We need good Dr's. All the best Kristen!!! Finally a Doctor in the Family!!! LoL

  • yeah!! congrats to u for making it! i can only imagine what it feels like, i am still in my 2nd year of med school, gonna take Step in few weeks...i cant wait for my turn at that stage. again, congrats!!!

  • LOL

  • status doesnt mean anything if u dont have the respect to go with it and just because r a doctor doesnt make u the cream of the crop. anything without substance has no hold. think about it no one like someone thats arrogant enough to think that only people with high paying jobs matter. 99% of america is made up of regular 9-5 working individuals and thats what matters. hard work belief in urself and respect of others. everyone counts honestly speaking becuz u have to begin b4 u succeed n the end

  • AMEN! I wish more people thought like you!

  • some of them are nerds LOL but i have a friend whose in her second year of law school and she's the realest person i know, she's not nerdy and she has a personality. to actually get in med school they usually require some humanity on ur part they dont want robots. u should have done things outside of school life in the community, volunteering and etc. congrats to kristen im pursuing a career in medicine. hard work ALWAYS pays off and this proves it. UPenn is the 1 of the best in the usa

  • True, true......

  • LOL, bunch of nerds.

  • you're just jealous you could never get into medical school let alone finish it.

  • Im a Materials Engineering major at Georgia Tech- so I know what it is like to work your butt off.

Second of all, I am not weak and insecure to the point where I let my academics/profession determine my personal worth unto myself.

  • who ever said anything about insecurities and letting one's academics/profession determine personal worth?

  • Your previous comment is suggesting that future doctors/medical students are of a superior stance in society than others. THATS WHY.

  • well duh...but not just doctors...engineers are superior members of society as well.

  • That is an opinion and a very shallow one. For example, all though Im an engineering major, my heroes and the people I truly envy are professors of Religion, Sociology, Psychology, Physics. I love all of those subjects and maybe in another lifetime I will become one since I like to entertain the idea of teaching young men and women about life and people.

Im just majoring in Engineering for a job. Im part Indian, lol. In my culture, we are taught not to pursue our interests professionally.

  • it may be shallow, but it's hardly correct to argue that a waitress at Applebee's contributes the same to society...sorry but that's just how it is.

  • Well that is your opinion and I have my own. I'll tell you this though, Im from New Jersey originally and came down here to Atlanta for college at Georgia Tech. That being said, let me say this: you would get your neck snapped or have a poll rammed up your behind for saying that shit. Most people of my age in New Jersey have working class parents whom are not college educated- they would take offense. If you're making honest money, work hard and are a good citizen, then you have my respect.

  • get a pole shoved up my behind for exercising my first amendment rights...yeah sounds pretty typical of people from New Jersey.

  • OH, you can do that...........just be full aware that some people won't appreciate that and it may turn violent- like back in Jersey. You should be alright though assuming you can actually defend yourself in time against some "SCARY "minorities. LOL

  • dude, I didn't say anything about minorities.

  • smart girl and congrats to her. That is amazing to me, the hard work and dedication does pay off. Big inspiration to me

  • Why are you in awe of doctors? LOL. You sound silly.

  • are you jealous? if it were easy, everyone would be one. CONGRATS to this lady making her dreams come true and working hard, that is what inspires me. Get a life, instead of commenting negatively on other peoples videos. GOOD DAY

  • what an amazing accomplishment! Congrats to her, and I hope to one day in the future have the opportunity to graduate from medical school.
