@Wgx5 but still When you buy a computer of cheap / bad brand the hardware will typically also be cheap / bad for example I bought myself a bad brand but the hardware sounded good. but it was certainly not it came to repairs 4 times and then they gave me my money back. and one of my friends bought a better brand same graphics card no errors. typically a cheap brand put together a lot of low cost hardware to keep the price. so I will primarily look at the brand first and then look at the hardware

@Wgx5, well you see o' wise one. the intel part is fine. but the motherboards are made from different companies, some (the ones dell use) i have found from my personal experience have broke. and yes, i find most normal computers now a days, use bad parts, to be cheaper. but now onto the nvidia graphics. nividia isn't actually the manufacturer, companies such as asus, zotac, evga, and gigabyte, make the graphics cards. nvidia only powers them. so no, dell and i didn't buy from the same company.

Since the quality has been in the toilet for Alienware both use the cheapest parts available to ship out as quick as possible, you can get way better parts/warranties building your own and save money vs a Dell so um yea

@cybertron2600 Trust me, PC technology is mostly bloatware these days. Trust me I work in Dynamic Web Servers and we use a hell lot of Red Hat, because there is absolutely no bloatware. Windows Server although even when just sitting there uses like a gig of RAM. While RH will use around 150 MB at idol. Plus if we use the command line, 23 MB. So Windows and Mac are very bloated these days.
