I was also at this game and I must admit that I was one of the 'rude hick fans' who let out an involuntary gasp when he made the first mistake. From where I was sitting, I didn't really hear any booing. There was just a loud collective sound of shock. On the other hand, I was also one of those who joined in and sang the second time around. Everyone makes mistakes. I don't think that it makes him any less of a patriot, but I do still smile every time I think about that game.
