  • Algae bloom during the summer and it is in a closed in lagoon.

  • why is the water green?

  • Those are the kids on the website. Sorry I just saw everyones notes on You Tube messages. It was a lot of fun. The water is pretty green, but it is such a cool experience and we had a great homemade dinner.

I am sure the water in Dubai is much clearer. Lagoons are not known as being really clear. The water movement is not that much because it is protected and then Jules has a screen up that keeps out the large fish,etc... It is still a fantastic experience though.

  • hello there! I am really interested in staying here, I was wondering if there is any pressure on your ears?

  • Hey aren't these the kids from the Jules website?

Looks like you had an awesome adventure.

  • Heard stories about the grand view and crystal clear water and all that.. and just sat in awe at the idea of an awesome underwater hotel.

    Then I see this.

    |: Would hate to blow a buncha money on my honeymoon vacation just to stay in a reverse fishtank. That water is filthy! D: If they're gonna have that cool gimmick, they'd do well to clean up!

  • @innocentamelia The water was green and warm in August when we were there.

That is the way lagoons look in Florida. It not that bad, but a honeymoon, no that would not be a good idea. Not too exciting, but for me being there twice it was fun and different and something to talk about.

  • @innocentamelia There is really no way to clean up a lagoon. The lagoon is closed in so divers do not get lost at night or get caught in currents. I rather dive in a safe area myself, especially at night. It was a lot of fun and something to talk about...

You still could see, but the water was a little green in tint...

  • This is the most horrible hotel I have ever seen in my whole entire life !!!!!! Crap crap crap..

  • hahha i went there this year it was awsome lol did u just go to the hotel or did u snorkel? lol i looked threw the window when i went lol!

  • @lightningtimes We actually stayed there for about a day. Did a lot of diving too!

  • I think I'm going there this July! I'm going to the keys to study marine biology with my school and were stopping at an underwater hotel so I'm assuming that's the one. Is it really deep?

  • When diving, how bad do your ears hurt?

  • Not at all . It was not that deep.

  • do you actually need to be SCUBA certified just to do this?

  • You need to contact Jules in order to find that out. I believe you can do a discover scuba course with an instructor and that would get you down to the lodge safely.

    Good luck.

  • Cool. Hope you had fun.

  • tyler kyte sat where you are sitting

  • How did you get down there? do you have to dive down?

  • Scuba equipment. Only twenty five feet though. Lots of fun for the family.

  • is it really that cool..the green murky water creeps me out....i would never stay theree i dont think

  • Thanks buddy.

  • cool
