This is what I've been saying all along. BW are socialized to interact with BM the same way that racist whites interact with blacks in general. Both groups are comfortable with BM when they act like thugs,deadbeats, and criminals, but feel threatened when you are intelligent and progressive. Both groups love to blame BM for all their problems, and when they do dirt, they both used the "Blame the black man!" excuse to cover their misdeeds.

The point of White Supremacy being the primary cause of 'Internalized Racism'; which fuels violence, selfishness, and ignorance in Black men, was missed by you. And although it can be an influence on anyone..particularly Black men have been purposely used over & over again. Black Feminism does not seek to redefine the effects of W. Supremacy. I did not know President Wilson actual enjoyed this movie at a private White House screening? But fast forward to now, Oprah trumpets 'The Color Purple' as black feminist pulp dogma for oppressed women everywhere. But where is the black man perspective of the real Jim Crow / Reconstruction / pre Civil War era in feature films otherthan 'Roots'? And no one has really really challenged Oprah or other media/advertising outlets on the negative portrayals of the non-celeberty black male.

What can I say, you're as right as 2+2=4. I've always known that black feminism is the same as white supremacy (how could one not know this, they say the same damn thing, blame the black man for everything while not blaming yourself for anything), but I never once thought to compare The Color Purple to Birth of a Nation until this vid.
