  • i am aussie music maker 2. come check me out just click my name and you will be on my music channel. its not what you expect its not rock sorry! i make electro rap but ITS not what you expect ither its not like other rap or electro my idears come from guitar i just change the instruments of course. i write make and produce all my songs thay are not perfect but pritty good sonicly 4 the way i put it all together. help me out with getten the wordout add and sub2 my channel ide much appreciate it

  • @boogiemansteven --- Not my cup of tea (I'm really really not into Rap / Hip Hop) but I'll subscribe to help get your numbers up anyway; you've definitely got talent, keep it up!

  • these guys had a nack 4 melody and hits there will never be bands and music like this again the fact is theres just nothing left to be had as far as idears n hooks go 4 guitar the 90s was the end of guitar bass,d bands n fresh idears n thats why we dont here epic rock songs and balleds comeing out anymore i love rock i feel it in my bones. everything i know comes from rock its ashame i wasnt older back then ide of made some great rock songs melody is my nack 2.

  • @boogiemansteven --- Nothing left to be had for ideas and hooks... 90s was the end of guitair!?!?!

I'm gonna have to disagree, the Guitar is a LONG way from dead. The Living End, King Cannons, Green Day, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Foo Fighters, The Offspring --- all these are bands that are currently producing massive hits with the guitar.

Having said that, "mainstream" music of today does seem to be making it harder for decent bands to get noticed... good luck with your music tho dude :-)

  • H wrecked a lot of good bands. 4 a couple of months i couldnt remember 4 the life of me the name of ther song danceing in the storm i had ther songs on a mix tape when i was a little kid i listend to it over and over until my old man hid it and i never got it back n forgot about it all these years until i heard danceing in the storm in a booze shop a few months back and it started me on my mission haha coz i never new who thay are when i was lil i just loved it. my mission complet found them

  • What a great sound this band had. Can anyone upload where I started pleeeease!!!!!

  • 1989 Englishman travelling in Oz this was the nuts, crying shame "H" wrecked the band should have been huge.

  • Awesome song! Takes me me back & i miss this type of music.

  • nine wild world of sports use to play this song to death

  • hey Blueryder65 - tell them to load up a cleaner vid of the cut!

  • i heard this song in "Dont Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead" and I love it. It's definitely gonna go down as one of my all time favorites.'

  • i heard this song in "Dont Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead" and I love it. It's definitely gonna go down as one of my all time favorites.

  • I remember listening to this band in my childhood

  • This song SOOOO reminds me of "Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead"

  • 32,097 views? im disapointed, this should be so much more famous!

  • @carpetcle Completely agree! BCO were so underrated. I have put a lot of these hits on my iPod and they are timeless really! So good!

  • I love this song. I interviewed Dale a few months back. Such a nice man - so down to earth. He;s got such a lovely face and a fabulous singing voice!!!!!

  • awesome memories listening to these guys back in the day!!

  • Dale has such a great voice.....

  • I've been a fan of this song since I heard it in the movie "Don't tell mom the babysitter's dead." So awesome!

  • @genbendotcom The first time I heard this was in the same movie! Completely agree, have thought it's an awesome song ever since then :)

  • @genbendotcom Haha

  • Loved it on DTMTBD!!

  • We've produced some phenomenal bands in Australia who didn't reach the heights of your INXS or Men at Work; bands such as these guys, Weddings, GangaJang - the list goes on. What remarkable talent we produce.

  • Awesome Band. Like everyone on here I think they should've made it big. Aussie misic was really alive in the 80's early 90's.

  • I could never forget this song b/c it was featured in Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead. I looked for this song for years but could never find until recently. Great band!

  • dont tell mom the babysisters dead!

  • The Songwriting is second to none. The Musicianship is superior to anything this country has ever produced. Dale Ryder has the most distinctive and incredible voice I have heard in many a year. Why in the name of blazes these guys didn't take over the World is beyond me. Perhaps they needed better management or something. One of the most powerful bands ever to grace the Earth.

  • Wide World of Sports!!!!

  • I also think of that when I hear this! "This is Nine's Wide World of Sports!"

  • love these guys brings back school memories

  • seen this band live 20 times aewsome !

  • Remember pumping weights to this song. It was also featured in "Don't tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead" starring Christina Applegate.

  • @Lonewolf111171 in which part of the film was the song played? i've heard of the film but i never bothered to watch it

  • @paolorossifan2006 It's a while since I've seen it, but from memory it was during a date montage scene about halfway through the movie when CA is out with the male love interest of the story. It's not a bad movie if you're after a bit of popcorn material.

  • @Lonewolf111171 thanks!

  • Yes, this is the Original from their album "These Here are Crazy Times"

Recently some lame dance act did a cover version. At least they had good taste in music, even if there version sucked.

  • Being an aussie I should know this but r these guys the original singers of this song? Even though I'm more a metal fan got to admit this is a good song.

  • @Gothicbrett yes they are.

this kicks the crap out of the hook n sling version

  • christ what an amazing song ! nothing even gets close these days :)

  • the latest unplugged version of this by boom crash is so awesome, they are really expressing themselves, great stuff

  • these guys were under estimated they should have been more famous.......

  • @carpetcle under rated*

  • @ekim61 ..They were not under rated, they charted really well, what was under Estimated, I feel, was their ability to write more complexed material, had they been correctly estimated I believe they may well be charting today....In the same vein as the stones....

  • @carpetcle too right!!

  • This is a different version from the one i've heard before...still is great! What ever happend to this band?

  • They have recently finished an accoustic tour, happened to cath them in rutherglen, just as good as always, top live band.

  • Bloody brilliant song!!!

  • Great song from great movie..."Don't tell mom the babysitter is dead"

  • Pure, Intense, Energy!

  • pete farnham or something similar i think

  • close it's Farnan.

  • The lead guitarist and chief songwriter is named Richard Pleasance.

  • singer is dale ryder, a great front man for a great band. the driving force was the 2 guitar players richard someone and pete someone.... richard had to quit playing live cause he got tinitus but he still wrote and recorded great band this song featured in dont tell mom the baby sitters dead with that spunk cristina applegate mmmmm

  • still as fresh as it was 10+years ago!! awesome !!!

  • This song Rocksssssssss...I adore boom crash opera. what is the singers name omg what a spunk. And definately the song I sing when I think of the love of my life Dave....who needs celine dion when u got boom crash opera! Fucken love it!!!!

  • If you live in Melbourne you can see him perform every Sunday at the Espy.

  • was in dont tell mom the babysitters dead, that film had sum classic songs!

  • Thats my brother and our uncle proud of you dude.

  • @Blueryder65 Seriously!

They did a hell of a job with this song. So amazing!

  • @Blueryder65 -- Looking forward to them hitting up Penrith RSL! :-D

  • Love It Love It

  • wow, yeah just heard part of this song on an tv ad for the logies (yeah how weird?), but I still love it.

  • i seen these guys at the espy in melb last night, freaking awsome live still.

  • its so funny that it sounds better on the remake...incredible

  • I had TOTALLY forgotten about this song! I love it so much / i cant believe I had forgotten! I heard a cover in a shop the other day and freaked out!! I wonder where my cd went!!!! thanks for allowing me to enjoy again!! whatever happened to them? they had some great songs!

  • they broke up but have come together again and wrting a new album

  • Saw these guys live in Adelaide during lunchtime in the square when they first appeared on the scene - I was hooked -I've been searching years for their songs!!!! Thanks to you I've found them! Oh joy!

  • Awesome song and makes me proud to be Australian

  • this is a really fast song lol...still a great classic :D (am I correct in assuming it moves at around 154 bpm?)

  • sure you don't wanna add decimals?

  • awesum what memories.. looking forward to the gig this week

  • thank you for this.... it reminds me of the movie i enjoyed.

  • the drummer is a relative of a relative thru marriage, and i was so pumped when i heard the remix on the radio the other day coz i haven't heard this song for years, then i realized they'd replaced his drums with a sequencer. D'oH!

  • this is pretty cool... but Hook n Sling's version is cool too. I personally like this one more- it's more rock.

  • I put my spacesuit on And count back ten to one The gravitation pull gets stronger My skin it pulls away My brains are on a plate The weightless feeling here is bliss as i fly over you watch out am i the view? i contemplate the lies and secrets This is the best thing that has ever happened to me These are the colours that I've always wanted to see And although I've never said it before I love you, I need you, I need it, I love you......
  • Great Australian Classic. The new cover by "Hook N Sling": Pretty good modernized version, Boom Crash Opera: Rock on!. Thanks for the memories.
