I'm Indian and I'm sick of the Kashmir Issue. Indian Government should give the Kashmiris right to choose what they want. It's been high time we settle the Kashmir Issue and bring an end to Conflicts.
@forgottenmemories63: If it is independence that you suggest it will have to be on both sides of the LOC - the erstwhile kingdom of Jammu and Kashmir.
@forgottenmemories63 They did most Kashmiris want Pakistan but India said no. Only way is a referendum and that failed because of India. Once we get rid of this issue. Pak and India can normalize relations. The closest people to Pakistanis are Indian no one else not Chinese, Arabs, Iranians, Afghanis, Turks but Indians and that is fact we have so much in common. We were brothers but this tension is so stupid between the 2 nations. This conflict needs to end this can only happen through voting.
Do not treat Kashmir issue as prestige issue. It has drained resources of people. This is nothing but clashes of egos. Failure of civil society of the subcontinent to prevail over unwanted influence is the real reason. If people become strong and self sufficient; I do not think, any power can dominate and assert bad actions. Loosing hope for better days is the worst that can happen. Please hand over the problem to those below 40 years of age to get solution asap.- Himanshu Muni.
we should appreciate such a humble effort....we should promote our culture i.e; LOVE bcoz war only proceeds to demolish...one more thing i must mention is that Fortunately we are being blessed by such people who did sacrifice and fruitful effort by themselves for their country, we should respect them and their marvelous experience and should keep them in record.
