Michigan is in trouble and it has to do more with economics than anything else. The state is going bankrupt, and folks are leaving. Schools are closing down and so are HS football programs. U of M still has to be able to recruit instate, but with the problems taking place, it will be much harder to do that. Same goes for Oregon, they are in as much trouble as Mich and it's facing the same situation. Granted O has CA but money is very tight.
@ripperduck U of M has plenty of cash and lately Michigan has not been winning the in state recruiting battles against MSU due to all the bad media publicity in state. Michigan does a fine job of going and finding good talent in other states so really not that big of an issue right now. The stadium and tradition sell.

Michigan is in trouble and it has to do more with economics than anything else. The state is going bankrupt, and folks are leaving. Schools are closing down and so are HS football programs. U of M still has to be able to recruit instate, but with the problems taking place, it will be much harder to do that. Same goes for Oregon, they are in as much trouble as Mich and it's facing the same situation. Granted O has CA but money is very tight.

@ripperduck U of M has plenty of cash and lately Michigan has not been winning the in state recruiting battles against MSU due to all the bad media publicity in state. Michigan does a fine job of going and finding good talent in other states so really not that big of an issue right now. The stadium and tradition sell.

2. oregon doesnt have any nat'l titles so until you win one your not football royalty

Injuries wasn't Michigans problem. Mindset and coaching was Michigans problem. Coming off the devestating loss to App State, it was obvious that the Wolverines were ill prepared for this game. I guarantee you this game is a close game if Michigan had beaten App State the previous week. And Carr and his coaching staff coached such a hrrible game. Where was the defense? Why weren't Obi Ezeh, Brandent Englemon, and Donovan warren starting? What the hell is up with all the turnovers?

Ohio State isn't gonig to be in the Rose Bowl. They'll be in the capital One Bowl or Outback Bowl, and they MIGHT make it in as a BCS at large, but they won't be in the Rose Bowl unless they beat Michigan, and they aren't gonig to beat the Wolverines. I hope that Michigans gets another crack at Oregon by playing them in the Rose Bowl in 2008. Go Blue!

It's a shame Michigan went into this game with all the injuries, Henne was banged up and only played the first quarter, and Hart was hobbled also, this would have been a good game if Michigan would have been healthy, but both were banged up in fall practice before the season ever started, they never got healthy till after the regular season was over.
