Next day I bought TWOM, and later, Gutter Ballet, Dead winter dead, HOTMK, HOR, EOT and Streets.

One of the best bands ever

@ckokpenno I bought their Power of the Night cassette on an impulse one day. Liked the cover but never heard of the band. Popped that baby in my cassette player and by the time the first song was over, I had pulled my car orver and was headbanging and air guitaring the steering wheel to Criss' incredible sound.

Since then I have owned every piece of work the band has produced. RIP Criss, you are and will always be a god in my book. Not only as a guitarist but as a human being as well.

It is really too bad that they have no plans to tour again as Savatage. I saw TSO's Beethoven's Last Night in NYC and it was amazing. At the end when they did some Savatage covers it was kind of bittersweet, realizing that they are better received as TSO than they ever were as Savatage.
