Bush didnt put you through anything, the only mistake he made in Katrina was when he said that FEMA was doing a good job in New Orleans, he was just ignorant of what was actually going on. How he handled Katrina was the only flaw he had during his presidency, and all the people blame him for that one single major flaw. But nobody compliments the 90 other good things he did. In addition to what ytdsmom said, illegal aliens don't have to get insurance, they just go take up space at the emergency room where others have actual emergencies and they get FREE emergency care-and the medical staff technically can't turn anyone away who "needs" help... causing yours and my insurance rates to creep up each year :)
Health care for all is a great idea, but when that means STEALING money from others (ie taxes) to provide for mainly those unwilling to trully do what they need to to get it for themselves is larsony.

Bush didnt put you through anything, the only mistake he made in Katrina was when he said that FEMA was doing a good job in New Orleans, he was just ignorant of what was actually going on. How he handled Katrina was the only flaw he had during his presidency, and all the people blame him for that one single major flaw. But nobody compliments the 90 other good things he did. He was one of the greatest Presidents this country has ever had, so obviously you are showing ignorance and noing that.

We are the only industrialized nation (other than China and we know how socially responsible they are) who did not sign the Kyoto Accord. And Bush has been letting his corporate friends off the hook environmentally for almost 8 years. Name one respectable, humanitarian, thing for which Bush might be remembered.

Obviously there should be a welfare system in place, the current one is flawed, granted, but that is why it is an issue being discussed already in our primaries.

Promoting the general welfare is listed twice in the Constitution. Both instances are not meant to be listed as in the literal translation of "welfare spending". 'making sure everyone is well' is probably the most vague way you could have said that. If you believe it is the economical term being used, you are wrong. It refers to securing the sovereignty of the free citizens in our country.

In many countries if a school is crappy and parents don't choose to send their kids there, the public school goes out of business. Schools have to perform in those countries or close.

My cousin lives in Toronto and NEVER had a complaint. Just walks in to the doctor's office, shows a card, and leaves. It's only propaganda what you are hearing because they don't want the American people knowing the truth how great it is to have health care. First of all, I don't hate anyone. I'm just not crazy about working class people working so damn hard and getting nothing in return. Some working class people even work 2 jobs, sometimes 12-16 hours a day to make ends meet while rich CEO's sit in their lap of luxury and maybe put in 2 or 3 days a week of work. Raising taxes on the rich, gives more benefits to working class people (i.e., better roads, bridges, schools etc.) I will support Clinton, Edwards or Obama, whoever wins the nomination.
